The bloke was a tedious berk of a man who contributed zero to this forum, other than a barrage of unpleasant and idiotic comments. Some was likely tongue in cheek, a great deal likely ingrained opinions. A troll in every sense of the word, it really is no loss to the forum.

 

Actually CBK he has received numerous warnings over time including public and private even by his own admission he pushed the boundaries.
As others have said having an opinion is not a problem, but with the expressing of that opinion comes a responsibility to not deliberately offend or debase other people. Over the whole of his posting cycle he has done little else, a final warning was given a little while ago. The price for continually offending has finally been paid it seems........

The difference is Joe that it is not always apparent that any action is being taken because we feel it is better to do things privately. This usually works and gives people a chance to reflect in private with out there having to be a "bun fight" on the thread.
If people choose to ignore us, that is their prerogative, but action will surely follow.
The other side of the coin is we do not necessarily make these kinds of decisions on our own. We usually wait for complaints via PM or through administration.
Sometimes it is obvious, but not always. We are not police...we are posters first...we only take action after a thoroughly sound discussion amongst ourselves usually after receiving complaints from others. The standards are set by you posters we only enforce your wishes.
