now can shrews follow their championship success over leicester by putting in a similar performance against wolves. this is an important friendly as wolves have recently disposed of L1 walsall 3-0. tomorrow night may give pointers to the coming season.

let us hope el tel and our marv are both up for it with a full supporting cast. coys, bots, aab, and fs

i think what Marvin is missing, is some quality crosses, he had one against brum and stuck it away, so lets see some more of that please!!

I could not agree more, Tinned Hats. Marvin has been unfairly criticised too often for my liking - he is a real trier with a lot of pace and ability and gives everything for the team. His lack of goals in the second half of last season was partly to do with Ainsworth's loss of form and omission from the team. If you have a six foot five centre forward you need to swing in a few quality crosses to get the best out of him though Marvin is also no slouch when the ball is on the floor when he is in the mood.

I thought that it was a thoroughly good work out and our Marvin netting again(albeit a deflection)!!...will this become a habit? and to be fair we caused the wolves defence a lot of problems first half and the latter part of the second half, and will no doubt boost the lad confidence.

You really do get a buzz over beating a team in pre Season don't you? I hate Leicester as much as the next guy but you really take it over the top. Pre Season matches are about trying fringe players, allowing new players to gain chemistry with their new team mates, gain match fitness and sharpness. We beat Liverpool 3 - 0 in a pre season match last year. We don't go onto their board claiming to be an absolutely brilliant football side because we beat some new players... <doh>

Despite having given some to every shrews poster I still need to spread it around more. I think that will initiate trolling on other boards and randomly adding to the rep of strangers...

I regularly give rep to our wycombe friends and a few others so i casn add to the rep on this board. if you look at the control panel (top-right) at the top of the page it tells you who has repped you and any comments, it isd good to leave a postive comment as you encouraged those to rep back!!
