It was a better performance overall, and we should have won given the first half opportunities. All of those chances, though, came about either through Pukki's running (the missed chances) or his skill and persistence (the goal). What would we do without him, God knows.
Imagine how much praise he would get if he didn't fluff so much ?

I did it for entire seasons and it felt a bit hoggy.
His first two were only half chances and the third came back off the post. His nutmeg goal was classy though, and left Ruddy stranded. Probably our best chance of overtaking Watford who lost 5-1 at home to Leicester, but it's a point and at least it stopped the rot.
Some truth in this, but surely that's because the pressure is so much greater in the PL. Chances come few and far between, so the player is more likely to snatch at them and get it wrong.
My vote would be to share it out again with the system like it was this year. The problem comes when someone drops out, so we need a kind of DoF to make decisions about what to do in that situation and tell people it's their turn next. You seem to have done this by default. If you're happy to go on doing this, I think it's a good arrangement, but that puts responsibility on you and maybe it becomes a bit of a drag. Why don't we decide this as a group during the close season?
I only get involved with who's turn next & it should be gravy.

Gutted Wolves scored that equaliser, but om a positive note, we now finish the season on at least more points (22 - so far ) than when we were last in the Prem 2 seasons ago (21 points).

I know I'm going to sound like a Smith-hater, but this is what I'm scared of. After that performance and result, Smith is even more likely to still be here at the start of next season because a myth will build up that he was 'turning it around' and 'achieved more than Farke' (which, while technically true, is not a very sizeable 'more'). I accept the 5-3-2 worked well today but I still have to be convinced that this was anything more like luck, since we've seen quite a few changes in formation over the bulk of this season and I'm not sure this was anything more than a desperate flailing around for something that worked. I certainly don't see any kind of vision, only what we might politely term 'pragmatism' (i.e. spin the wheel enough times and you'll get lucky eventually).

I think we have to give him a chance to build his own team. He’s stuck with a load of players that he didn’t chose, some of which he will like and some he won’t. As for todays team selection I have to say it appeared questionable but it got a result, let’s not forget we are without nearly 10 players. I appreciate what some posters are saying about playing the youth players in these final games and I do agree, but I also quite like the fact that Smith doesn’t seem to write off any game.
I think Smith is capable of building a team to get us promoted and more importantly have a proper crack and staying in the PL.

At least there's a chance of putting some sort of run together - or there was under Farke
I feel like Smith (and Farke before him) are so hindered by our woeful midfield options that it really limits our ability to play effectively. The only time we've looked passable this season was when we gave up on midfield control entirely with the 4-4-2.
Hopefully that can be fixed this summer and we can build a style of play. I don't think that's a simple task though.
