Doucoure's game disintegrated halfway through last season after the failed approaches from the snake. He needs to clear his head and knuckle down very quickly.

Have you seen the stats on the BBC website
According to them we thrashed Wolves, just like we did Arsenal, only we got a point against Arsenal

Guess stats can be mis leading !!

Sounds like we hardly created a chance and made it easy for Wolves to defend and break .

Perhaps we need a bit of Sam Alladyce although not the manager himself
Listening to BBC Three Counties we should try a three man defence and younger legs in midfield also "rest" the luxury players
    I would go for
    Foster in goal
Mariappa Kabasele and Cathcart as back three
Janmaat and Holebas as wing backs
Quina Cleverly and Hughes in midfield
    Gray and Welbeck up front
At least they would fight for us

Given his style and being called in QSF is the Spanish Big Sam.

We are going to need fight, you are right, I hope the players can give that.

Do we have any players quick enough for wing backs ?

Seems like we have a midfield who aren't prepared to close the opposition down and then it's too late as they play a slide rule pass behind our defence .

A change in formation is required. Match up against the opposition and use the plethora of good midfielders we have.
    Varieties of 3-5-2

I know this is a little controversial but my feeling is that Heurelho Gomes communicates more with the defence than Foster does, and has more influence on the players around him.

I would add that it is the whole unit including DM and the decision making and communication currently is dire but Flores doesn't have that much options to chose from. It has looked like he has tried out different combos so far in a search for the right balance.

Yeah, I saw that too on Sky. I guess sometimes they do tell the story of a game and sometimes they don’t.

Truth be told regardless of the stats we never really looked capable of scoring. Against Arsenal we scored what some might view as a controversial penalty and were gifted a goal. For all the attempts we produced, not very convincing.

One ray of hope is that last season Burnley were on a par with us to begin with and stayed up, also Crystal Palace went 10 games without even a point and finished just below us
Wonder if Sarr and Pereyra could operate as wing backs with two holding midfielders to protect the defence, they would need to be a bit more energetic than Capoue and Doucoure were yesterday I do wonder if their time is up, Quina and the lad we got from Man City may well be the future and our saviours this season
Our manager has to decide who he can trust very soon

Perhaps we miss a leader on the pitch. Are we missing a fit Deeney?
