Thought we played really well first half and were the better team. Good goal in second half. Oh Theo, why could you not double bubble. Couple of players just below second half. Good point, we move on to beat United on Sunday, which is a must win gain for all the opposite reasons to normal

Possibly, but Wolves are a physical, athletic, strong bunch. I think it took a lot of fitness to keep them at bay.

Possibly a side effect of having 2 weeks off, and maybe not training at full power because of the hamstring.
It was a real battle with all our players, in turn, being brushed aside. I said earlier about how strong their players are. Not massively built yet know how to knock someone off the ball.

Worth looking at it from the perspective that 4 points from Newcastle & Wolves is a good return in any circumstance - without your very best player and top scorer I'd say it is a bloody brilliant return.

    So funny listening to Sky.

Eddie Howe is boring as, but talks a lot of sense and understands the game.

Jamie Carragher pretends to be all in the know about tactics but knows sweet FA. Love or loathe EH, he knows what he is on about.

Don't think we can complain really. I'm amazed he did not book Romeu and Vesty in the first half. Tried to let the game run. Whilst he may have appeared to favour Wolves, I don't think many Wolves fans will agree with you. One thing I noticed tonight - particularly in the second half when we were chasing the game - was we have some players who now know how to 'win' free kicks when it matters.

As other have said. A draw is a good result. Saints great first half. Wolves great second half. Bit of a chess game really from (currently) the two best teams outside the usual top four (apart from Leicester maybe)

    Burnley (a) 1-0 W
    West Brom (h) 2-0 W
    Chelsea (a) 3-3 D
    Everton (h) 2-0 W
    Villa (a) 4-3 W
    Newcastle (h) 2-0 W
    Wolves (a) 1-1 D

17 points from a possible 21 from those games is pretty darn impressive.

I dont think we made substitutions early enough and looked tired.

However we lost there last season, and they came back and beat us 2-3 at St Marys despite us being 2 nil up at half time, i'll take a draw. Just wish Theo wasn't like Shane at taking chances though.

I think a draw is a really good result. They are quick and physical, the type of sides that we normally loose against

He normally talks a load of ****e, but raises a good point re McCarthy - surely he would be better than Henderson - who is just bench warming at United.

Yeah, Wolves are a bad matchup for us in a lot of respects. Plenty of pace to catch you out, and have a lot of players who are strong on the ball and difficult to dispossess.

A point without Ings is absolutely not a bad result, even from 1-0 up.

Sit on the bench of a big club should do it.

Before the game if you offered a point away at Wolves most Saints fans would have taken it. Walcott should have had a second but Wolves had the most chances. So probably a fair result. We would normally lose this game.

In 30 years supporting Saints this is the best I have seen any Saints team play. It relentless. Most teams in the Premier League can't or won't be able to cope against us.

Isn't McCarthy the highest placed English goalkeeper in the Premier League? It is beyond me that he isn't already in the England squad.

Genuinely think we missed redders today as well, djenepo's inexperience at times looked like it could cause us some harm. Really rate him though, the more he plays the better he will get hopefully. He works really hard, if he can improve his decision making and partnership with Bertrand he has a lot of talent
