WOLVES V QPR
Widely-regarded as one of the favourites for promotion this term, Wolves are unbeaten in three matches in all competitions so far this season, having shared the spoils with Hull City on Sunday.
Wanderers capitalised on a poor error from Tigers goalkeeper Allan McGregor to earn a draw in their first home league game of the season.
James Henry nodded Wolves’ equaliser into an empty net after McGregor had spilled Nouha Dicko's cross.
The visitors had led in the first half through Nikica Jelavic's spot kick after Kortney Hause shoved Curtis Davies in the penalty area.
The R’s, meanwhile, were left wondering what might have been after letting a two-goal lead slip against Cardiff City on Saturday tea-time.
With that result now a thing of the past, Chris Ramsey’s side will be keen to lay down a marker on Wednesday night, and with it, claim a first league victory of the campaign.
The clash, which kicks off at 7.45pm, will also see brother’s Steve and Joe Gallen go head-to-head in the technical area, with the former now part of Ramsey’s backroom staff and Joe – the R’s ex- youth coach – assisting Kenny Jackett in the Midlands.

Are QPR being overly cautious as they head to Wolves? - Preview

QPR face a difficult trip to Wolves on Wednesday night, with Saturday's late equaliser from Cardiff at Loftus Road leaving the R's still hunting for their first win of the league season.
I suspect, given the choice, an away game at Wolves ranks somewhere between a city break in Syria and several hours of extensive root canal work in Chris Ramsey’s list of things he’d like to be doing with his Wednesday evening.
A glance down the QPR squad list on the back of the programme at Molineux this evening will show no shortage of experience, talent or high earners. Robert Green, Charlie Austin, Nedum Onuoha, Leroy Fer, Sandro, Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips are all still here. I’m sure these people would consider themselves Premier League footballers, and we’d be panicking if we were receiving a team with them all their disposal to Loftus Road for a Championship fixture . . .

JOEY BARTON'S energy and eye for a pass is surpassed only by his ability to needle the opposition by bragging about the size of his wage packet – and this time it was Wolves’ Karl Henry taking the bait.

QPR’s new skipper late in the match, but went unpunished and then said: “Joey was telling everyone all through the game he is on 80 grand a week, as usual.
“He riles people when he says those things. It is just embarrassing, and that is why a lot of people dislike him as a person.”
The pair had to be separated at the final whistle, and Barton later continued the debate on Twitter, calling Henry a Sunday league player, and then in a television interview that evening.
In an outburst that may prompt the FA to consider a charge of bringing the game into disrepute, Barton said: “He is always sticking his foot in and trying to hurt people. I really don’t like him. I know from his challenges that he doesn’t like me.”
Rangers boss Neil Warnock was delighted by the victory, achieved with an early opener from Barton, a 20-yard strike from Alejandro Faurlin soon after, and a late effort from DJ Campbell.
But he insists that referees need to give Barton more protection. He said: “If a free-kick had been given for Henry’s challenge all the problems at the end would not have developed. That is a free-kick for anybody else. You always want a bit of protection.”
