Wasn’t there an Everton player who got banned/sent off for the new fad of rules early on a few seasons back ?

I think the only difference here is that we are a higher profile club so gets more words on it per column inch.

so this will get noticed - that said the Mane Ederson challenge and subsequent red was the same
Happened the next day in Swansea and it was either a yellow or free kick

Mascherano got sent off and banned but that was in game, I was was talking retrospective banning
