As expected. We make too may poor clearances that offer other teams gift wrapped opportunities to hurt us.
Was at the game. Very poor - especially defensively. FFS i thought we had fixed it. Wolves could have had a hatful more. League 2 beckons......
Oh dear that does not sound good, loose the next at it is going to get itchy bum time, but we have to keep the faith. We are under performing the squad is not playing anywhere near its capabilities,we are where we are and deserve to be where we are.
Expected to lose this, every time in the league does. Midfield are so poor, we don't need a winger, we need a midfielder who can control the game and can do defensive duties as well, but they are impossible to find with the budget we're on Defence was poor, especially Williams who gave away countless balls and scored an own goal Jet was poor, and we missed a trick in Dicko as he seems just the striker that we need.
Thought you was going RR? As BCFCRedandwhite says. Today we defended like we've not a care in the world, we gifted them their goals by passing it back to them, not miss kicking it literally passing it to them. First half Marv was excellent he was everywhere breaking it up but second half he was not as affective. The weather was awful lightning hailstones and the pitch looked stoggy and one place the ball got trapped a few times. We looked scared at the back but I hope this was a one off horror show by all four defenders. JET was his normal self interested then not interested, I thought with Baldock scoring his 15th might spur him on to step up, but sometimes it's like getting a player sent off inside 10 minutes as the other 80 he just don't put a shift in. Would I drop him, no but I would consider moving him to a wing or something and using another striker.
Hi ROD was going however something cropped up and could not go, glad we did not go after reading the report, seems those that went are not impressed with the display, seems cotts is feeling it a bit from his interview. He has got to keep strong and keep the believe, seems some on other forums are fretting weather SC is better the SOD We have to stick with him even if we go down.
Also have to agree with my pal RedPrintt, Simon Gillett is useless, he is so weak, he never makes a defence splitting pass nor does he protect the back four, what does he do exactly? He's too small for a midfielder Playing him and Reid in the centre of the park is asking for trouble, both lightweight, offer nothing defensively, at least reid tries to make something happen
Where was you sat/stood Lanny? In all the times going away with City that's a ground I've never been too. I thought it looked tidy outside but inside it looked small apart from the north bank library.
I was the opposite to you, I was close to the South Bank end. Arrived in Wolverhampton at 2 but still got in the ground after kick off. I saw a parking place but could not get to it from my side of the road so said I will drive to a roundabout and turn round. Could not find one started hail stoning and got lost
That's interesting LL - I actually was impressed by Gillett in the first half - good work rate and I didn't think his passing was that bad (especially when you look at all those pointless long balls being hoofed forward presumably to JET by the defence) Marv was another who played ok in the first half - getting stuck in and trying to do his job. I do admit Gillett lost it in the second half, especially after he was booked he made another awful challenge and we all thought he would get sent off. No, I thought the most useless on the pitch today would be between JET and Osborne. But RP and I seemed to see completely different players when Lee J played. Whatever - we were crap today especially in the second half.
You're not the only one Redprintt has had a gripe with, I can't remember how many times he's questioned my footballing knowledge If we are going to play a Gillett/reid type player imo we need 2 strong midfielders around them to protect them and let them express themselves, it wouldn't surprise me if opposition players get a slight lift when they see they're playing against a player who's 4 foot 9 Jet was ****e agreed, we had one of those days, funnily enough "those days" are increasing as the games go on Bit harsh on osbourne imo who was played out of position
Anyways did any of you see their number 11 today? Kevin McDonald Now THATS a midfielder, he had everything
I didn't realise Osborne was being played out of position LL if so then I apologise and it's SC who should get criticism for playing him there. It just seemed to me that he did, we'll, nothing really - he didn't look like he had any ideas - not the same as JET who frankly looked disinterested, but both players seemed to me to be spare parts, whereas Gillett had some fire about him.
