Certainly goes for Wolves, but based on the last couple of games Wigan display good team spirit and are really fighting to stay up. If not for the efforts of Ben Foster yesterday they would have chalked up an extra couple of points.
Wolves were gone weeks ago and for all Wigan's fighting endeavour they couldn't score in a brothel. Both are down IMO. We'll probably join them but there is a tiny slither of hope for us if we beat Liverpool which I fully expect us to do. Blackburn have good enough players to keep them up but also have Steve Kean doing his very best to get them relegated. Finally, having watched Bolton against us, they looked so like a Championship side its uncanny. They surely won't win many more points this season? Maybe I was a bit hasty after the Bolton defeat - predicting our demise. There's still a tiny chance we'll survive.
Would it help speed up your time in Purgatory if I conceded that although Swans and Norwich spent about 10m on their squads, I never thought they'd do anywhere near as well as they have done? Whilst I'm still convinced our Ch'ship side would have been hammered in this league, I'm willing to admit that perhaps I over-estimated the quality of this division. I've compromised Oddball, now meet me in the middle.
I actually feel more liberated in this negative world ... It's far easier plus my new team Swansea City are in 8th position ... What a hugh let down we are at QPR
Wigan certainly look as if they still have fight in them, Wolves look done. We have a game in hand on both, so let's hope we make it count against Liverpool. We still have a significant goal difference over three of our relegation contenders and if tied on points this could be our saving grace.
