Good result, especially as most feared the worse. Let's hope we can keep hold of Bart, how the feck did MM prefer Gerks over Bart last season?

Didn't Bart's Dad pass away last season and unsurprisingly it knocked Bart for six and he wasn't " right " for a while so Gerks stepped up.

Good result last night, looking at the fixtures at the start of the season I thought we would roughly have 4 to 5 points on the board at this time. Bring on the sister worriers, have a good feeling about the game on sunday. hopefully Mick will play 4-3-3 as it is our best formation and we can turn them over.

I think many said 'not much between them' but I agree it certainly not the case now....IMO Bart is up there with the best in this league.

MUCH MUCH better. Good night last night and for a ridiculous decision ( thanks ref you melt ) we'd have won. Wolves didn't have a clue how to break us down. Quick summary -

    * System. 4-3-3 was SOOOO much better. 4-4-2 we were powderpuff in midfield vs Brentford, much better last night. Tempo still too slow when we do have the ball, a few too many whoosh's still but a lot better all the same. Webster is a baller, he always wants to pass. Great first touch too.

    * How we start halves - bloody slow. Nearly cost us second half, Wolves dominated first 12. MUST start games quicker.

    Quick summary of players -

    * Bart - Two things to do, class pen save and good second half. #1 clearly his own, class.
    * Chambers. Not beaten defensively. Went flying in and wiped a Wolves player out when taking the ball. Passion back. Better.
    * Knudsen - Not a fan but VERY solid last night. If he plays like this every week ( problem is he won't ) more than happy for him to play. Linked up very well with Freddy second half and overlapped well. Much better.
    * CBs - Both superb. Berra back to his best, Webster very calm. Penalty a shame. Looked soft in the ground but stonewall. Gotta stick with him, he'll get there.
    * Skuse / Douglas - Workrate terrific. Skuse was absolutely everywhere, didn't know he had that in locker. BOTH pressed very high at times, taking it in turn to move forwards. Douglas was decent but cannot win a header. Used his brain though and wasn't a headless chicken like Bru. Both need to be braver on the ball instead of going home but we were as the game went on.
    * Bishop. Nice to see him playing again, massive miss last season. One huge lung bursting run, needing Sears to pull out to make a 2 v 1 but Freddy didn't. In and out the game but had a few moments of class. Patently nowhere near fit and not back to best.
    * Sears. Looks completely shot of confidence. Hid at times, didn't make angles. 30 games without a goal now. We can say " he's out wide " all we want he HAS to do better. Linked up well with Knudsen second half.
    * Ward - For the price unreal. Must wonder why his agent didn't get him a more footballing style of play haha poor lad but he's a great asset. Beat man for fun however must work on final ball. Very poor.
    * Murphy - Didn't always try to win the 5050s. Not great holdup. Badly lacking support when he did. Ridiculous goal disallowed.

    * Bru - Good energy when he came on. Said it before, I'll say it again he'd fine in a 4-3-3. Cannot play 4-4-2.
    * Varney - No time to make impact.

All in all a decent display from 12 - 45 and 51 - 90. Need to create more, we're not but defensively sound. We can give Norwich a game Sunday based on what I've seen.

Same 11 please, same system. COYB.
