Main reason being sacking MM was the wrong decision. He proved last year he can keep the club up. He has the experience. His players aren't exactly helping there cause though are they? If you look at the squads across the EPL i would place Wolves probably about 10th. Jarvis, Fletcher, Doyle etc... You have great bunch of individuals but no unity. Half the time when i watch wolves they don't look as if they even want to win. Johnson against Bolton had a clanger. Fletcher can't seem to finish his dinners either. If you look at wigan and blackpool last year they don't have good squads but they have desire. Wolves lack it. However good their squad is they'll never stay up unless they change their attitude. Look forward to meeting you at Elland road next year. ;)
 
They will probably beat us next after their six defeats in a row, knowing Arsenal. <grr><laugh>
 
What was wrong about the sacking of Mick McCarthy was a) the timing and b) replacing him with Terry Connor. I expect we would have got a few more points if they had stuck with Mick. He's a great motivator, but after 5 years in charge the defence still turned up every week looking like they didn't train together. Constantly shipping poor goals erodes the confidence of the good players, and I agree we have some. We also never had a game plan that took into account the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. For example Norwich showed exactly how to play against Swansea the week before we played them, but we looked like their passing game was a complete shock to us. McCarthy is a great manager at Championship level, but our 15th and 17th place finishes were the limit of his potential.
And Arsenal haven't got a thing to worry about. Just please for a change don't go getting our players sent off.
 
Should habve replaced him with Des oconnor <whistle> Would have done a better job! Not to worry. Hope fully you may stay up but its a tough call now. Hoq is mr handbags ebanks-blake?
 
You're falling into the trap of assuming that because your players roll around feigning injury they must have been fouled. They con referees and clearly some of their supporters as well.
I would admit we haven't contributed much to the Premier League this season, but at least we haven't tried to cheat at every opportunity.

Of course I believe it. If you had the tiniest bit of objectivity you would admit that it's true.
Are you telling me Milijas should have been sent off at the Emirates?
Can you quote one example of a Wolves player winning a penalty or getting an opponent sent off by diving or play acting?
Wolves are simply not a dirty side, and just suffer from a bad press circulated by the media who can't see byond the rich clubs.
 
Looking forward to seeing Woves at Bloomfield road next season. No sympathy for them at all, don't play as a team and don't seem to have the desire or will to win. How their fans enjoyed mocking us last season. At least we put up a decent fight and kept going right until the 'easy' game we had at Old Trafford on the last day of the season. Wolves shouldn't have sacked MM and to me are just a bunch of losers.
 
Welcome to the Championship folks.!! Your PL time is well and truely Up and sacking Mad Mick was crazy. Morgan is a fool and Poxy Jez Moxey is utterly clueless as well. What a pair of village idiots you have running your club.!!! The vultures are already circle-ing for your best players. Goodbye to Messrs. Hennersey-Ward-Fletcher-Doyle-Jarvis at the very least. At least Molyneux will be one of the better grounds in the Championship next season and is closer than say Portsmouth. Its not all bad is it.? Local derbies with Birmingham, Derby and Leicester and possibly Coventry.

A funny quote from Moxey when he said ""we are building something very special here at Wolverhamptonn and we want to stay a regular member of the Premier League."" What by getting relegated ? is this a cunning plan to confuse us all ? and if so then not even Baldrick could have dreamt this one up.!!! Good luck as you shall need it. You had 2 more PL years than Wolvers should have done.

You might be able to wave at them as you pass each other in the summer. Nobody has any sympathy for wolves especially after the way they treated mad mick. :shocked: <doh>

Wolves won't be visiting Bloomfield Road unless they stay up. :laugh:
 
kick a team when they are down why dont you ..<doh> MM would not have made any difference to wolves standing this season. they will be top dogs in the championship next season and i hope they come back up......wolves have a great history and produced some of the world class players in their time and it will produce more great players in time, someone has to be bottom and its their turn and with parachute payment coming their way can build a good championship team that will be hard to beat next season......good luck to them.....they will be back at the end of next season....<ok>

It's nice to hear some positive comments as a change from some of the unjustified bile you often see.
I'm afraid that us doing well next season is far from guaranteed though. First Morgan and Moxey need to appoint a good manager, and looking at their efforts in February who knows what they will come up with? Then the new man (assuming it is a new man), has to manage the ins and outs. The squad doesn't look happy, and not just because they are bottom of the table. We have a lot of players out on loan who should either be competing for a first team place or need to be moved on, and several players who might think it will be easy to find another Premier League club but could be in for a shock. Stephen Hunt now has three relegations on his cv, and Roger Johnson, Kevin Doyle, Steven Fletcher and Jamie O'Hara will have two. The superb team spirit that has been so important in recent seasons is no longer there.
The management needs to have a very good summer, which means making a good appointment early enough for the new man to influence the transfer activity (and it does need to be a new man), otherwise the parachute payments will be wasted.
Well done to the Swans by the way. They have deserved all the praise this season. I just hope they don't suffer second season syndrome.
 
ok wolves have been poor this season and many tipped wolves as relegation candidates ages ago. im glad its not us but you know that wolves will be one of the better championship teams next season, The most important thing now before any decisions are made on what players go and what players to bring in is to appoint a top manager so he can start afresh in the championship. there should be plenty of applicants for the job as wolves are a good club and will be a force to be reckon with next season....with the right manager...<ok>
