Bit O/T, but Scunthorpe have virtually been relegated to League 2. Lost to bottom side Bury, and are now 5 points from safety with 6 available.

Some Hull fan on RH thinks that we don't deserve to go up.....based on tonight.

Yeah, it's times like these when I wish I could get to all the games myself and see. People are slating Simpson but he hit the post apparently, whether thats true or not. I don't go by radio commentary so in the dark really till I see highlights

Other than a few speculative long passes at the start (very good passes mind in the sense they were absolutely pin point, just too long distance so too easy to intercept) and giving the ball away for the goal, Fathi was absolutely excellent. Fast and energetic, physical, great tackler, won the ball back so many times I couldn't count with my fingers and toes, likes to move forward, always looking to make things happen, always harassing opponents, and likes to have a shot when given space with a very powerful right foot. Very, very good player.

Worked excellently with meyler aswell, when Fathi moved forwards meyler just dropped back to cover.

Explained Simpsons post shot in my post on the last page. Wasn't an awful miss given the circumstances, but he probably should have scored. Funny coz as soon as simmo came on I said why is Simpson playing left and Boyd right it should be the other way round, if it was it would have fallen to Boyd on his strong foot tater than simmo on his weaker foot and I'd have put my missing tooth on it going in then.

The whole " don't want to go up 'cos we'd come back down again" brigde.

Need putting down, the lot of them.

£100m says we take promotion. 16 contracted players, next year, 7 current long term injuries suggests the 11 that starts next season will not necessarily bear significant resemblance to the one we finish the season with anyway, though the squad basis is probably there in terms of players who will only improve in the medium term and do a job when called upon regardless of the division.

They're numpties and that's being accommodating to their blatant deficit in intellect.

The same window-lickers were ringing up 3 years ago saying they wished we'd never been promoted and we'd end up in league 2. It's looking now like we're odds-on for our 3rd year out of 6 in the top flight. You can;t tell me that's a bad thing considering where we've come from.

Despite results elsewhere going in our favour, you can't help but feel frustrated in the way that we could have pulled 9 points clear of Watford and really seal the deal.

With Watford losing, it's another chance for us to capitalise but we couldn't find the net in order to do so. It still leaves us in pole position for that 2nd spot now and times are getting exciting.

From the radio, it sounded a really frustrating match, but we go into the next game against an already relegated Bristol City and need to push on.

    UTT.

Even 1 point last night would have set us up for promotion on Friday. Thought we deserved something from the game, but a bit like at Blackpool at the start of the year, we didn't push a very nervous Wolves team from the off and starting with Koren up front we were always lacking in goal threats. Had a very good spell of pressure approaching half time, and like at Ipswich, the whistle came at the wrong time for us.
