If Ralph looks clued up, and we look together, I'd take a narrow defeat. But if we look all at sea, and they are on it, we are in trouble tomorrow. They have a very good team.
Not going to mention that it is the day of the match, as I have realised that every time I do that we lose. Or maybe we just lose all the time
**** me, we're all really excited about this one aren't we? Reckon we'll get a performance at least today, and maybe sneak a result. Up the ****ing Saints
https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/...anderers-vs-southampton-premier-league-201920 Says third strip.
This is the life, not having to leave for the match until 1 pm and watching the All Blacks thrash Ireland Certainly better than leaving at 9am for SMS
Early team news Wolves are assessing the fitness of Diogo Jota, Romain Saiss, Pedro Neto and Morgan Gibbs-White. Leander Dendoncker should be available despite missing Belgium's recent games because of illness. Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has hinted he is considering a recall for goalkeeper Alex McCarthy in place of Angus Gunn.
I did read somewhere on the BBC this week that Angus has the worst ratio of "saves to expected saves" in the Premiership. An odd stat I'll agree
Back to a 3-5-2... planning to match up to Wolves. Gunn; Bednarek, Vestergaard, Yoshida; Valery, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Bertrand; Redmond, Ings
A lot of complaints about the team selection already. I wont complain as whether we play 3 at the back or not, we are still pretty ****e!
I'm relaxed about reverting back to three CBs. I'm more concerned about what it says about Danso. We're almost in November now, and he still can't get in ahead of these three. Why did we sign him?
I couldn't make a formation in my head i was particularly happy with. But maybe with 3 CB's we can avoid being too open and nick it with a piece of brilliance from Redmond. I did think we need to return to 3's, its basically what we learned last season with this defence and our defence doesnt seem to have changed
