Dunno what this new trend of fundraising every time something bad happens, but its a bit weird. Like throwing money at him will make everything all right.

Think it's more a case of realising that this is a life-changing injury! <ok>

My experience of Wolves is not a good one. Basically there is a minority of scum who are hell bent on trouble while the stewards do nothing. They focus their over zealousness on the Away support instead of dealing with their own. On my last visit i witnessed the stewards constantly verbally laying in to our supporters, while doing nothing about the objects being thrown from above.

It was not until i got up and confronted the senior steward that something was eventually done about it.

I'd rather go to Wall than visit that bunch of scum at Wolverhampton again and their parading yellow jacket job worth's. This incident does not surprise me in the least, albeit this incident happened i believe outside the ground, there was no clear direction to protect travelling supporters while coppers stood around passing the time of day. Hope your supporter makes a full and healthy recovery.

I don't think £1000 is really going to change anything for him. He will be rightly compensated for his injuries through court so the £1000 is not really helpful on that front.

I might be being extremely cynical but to me it seems more like a £1000 pay off for football fans to stop saying negative things about Wolves.

A young lad near me had his head shaved to raise £100 for MacMillan Nurses, he was punished by his school for sporting an "extreme" haircut. The story went viral and his "Just giving" page raised nearly £20,000. The fact that this lad has targeted £1,000 means nothing, it doesn't stop when the target is reached! <ok>

Fair enough Dave! I always thought the paged was closed down after reaching the target.

Got to say though on another note, not sure how a shaved head can be classed as "extreme". I bet it was one of the most normal haircuts in the school judging by most of the hairstyles I see on teenagers these days!!

The school and particularly the head received a lot of stick over it!

    This was his page! <ok>

Would like to see KJ stand up and call for these idiots to be hung drawn and quartered. 25 years in prison and a life ban from all football grounds along with a week in stocks outside Molineux would work.Bringing back public humiliation and stopping all this human rights rubbish is the next move forward for society.

I don't think that this is the only fund raiser for him - quite possibly something being arranged by the 1881, who are less likely to be viewed with suspicion. From what I've heard, it's the guy's family who may need the financial support as his condition is deteriorating. :(

Let's face it, the vast majority of fans who go along to support their teams are decent human beings out for a couple of hours pleasure and hopefully excitement. Yesterday nearly every Wolves forum were reporting that it had been a great game with a fair result. Yet seemingly that was not enough for some criminal thugs. Many say, well of course they are not fans of our club, but I do not believe them to be fans of the human race.
I well understand the young man who is appalled and who wants to do something to help. At present we do not know the outcome of the injuries, but hopefully the money raised can be put to good use. It is good to see that the football community once again comes closer together with donations from all around the country, even Luton.

The bottom line is that someone wenot out to support his football team and is now fighting for his life. It was reported on the BBC radio national news tonight which makes me think it must be very bad. The whys and wherefores and moans about charity raising can come later. As a member of the football family my thoughts and prayers are with him and his.

    Dean Austin has tweeted:

From all of us at Watford FC all thoughts are with Nick Cruwys who was
viciously attacked after yesterdays game in Wolves... So sad.

Multiple face and skull fractures and in a coma. Our thoughts are with
his wife and 2 young children. Keep fighting buddy. #watford family

It´s murder if he dies, isn´t it really?

    I wish him the best.

    His attacker(s) MUST be found.

Doesn't murder have to pre-meditated? If caught, I'd guess the perpetrator would be charged with manslaughter.

Either way, he/they should be hung, drawn & quartered IMO.

    Morning all...
I walked back to the station after the game to get the train back but did not see anything. But I have just been on the phone to a good mate who had driven and was just driving past when it happened - a group of about 20 Wolves young chavs (complete in Stone Island) chased a group of about 5 Watford down an underpass. He saw fists flying and then about 6 of the scum standing around kicking someone on the floor - by the time he pulled over he was well past it and could not get back. He is calling the West Midlands Police this morning, but he doubts he could recognise any of them. He also knows the fella and the other that were with him.
Utter scum that can stand around kicking a bloke in the head when he is down, I hope they get caught and sent away for a long long time

I too walked back from the station with Mini Bloother and shudder to think what was happen yards from where we were walking. I cannot believe there is no CCTV footage of these scumbags and, if they were at the game, they may be able to locate them and trace them.

Guy next to me in the Rookery was attacked at Wolves some years ago. Horrific and is making me think twice about going back to Wolverhampton. Hopefully we'll be in a different division next season.

Suggestion on the Wolves site that he has sadly passed away.

Hope its not true but if so RIP and may he and the family get justice.

    EDIT: Nothing confirmed officially.
