Was he at the cows on emergency? I thought it was a Long term loan. I thought about him the other week as a potential target but didn't think it would be possible.
i always thought he was far to greedy not a team player, taking shots on when a simple pass would open things up. not missing him but was just interested what the situation was
I hope we dont get him, I dont rate Ebanks-Blake at all, Ask yourself would you have him as a first Team player, in Hull City's premier League team in Aug 2013 No thought not, he is championship quality at best
Because he's succeeded at two clubs. Blackpool (Hollowhead) Ipswich (McCarthy) DJ didn't get on with any of the managers under us. Here's a funny story though... When Hollowhead was Plymouth manager he thought it was scandalous that we'd paid over a million for DJ and then managed him a couple of weeks later when he became Leicester manager. DJ did nothing under any manager with us but when he left for Blackpool he came in for DJ on loan (couldn't afford to pay his full wages) and he did really well at Blackpool. Just seems to be one of those players who'll do well at one club then ****e at the next. Unfortunately for him, he seems to be ****e more often than not. I think SEB is the better of the two, but he hasn't done an awful lot in the last few seasons. If you can get him back to his best then he's a fine, fine player who'll keep you up the top.
Well we are in the Championship now and that's what we need. We might not go up this season, in which case having a strike force of Ebanks Blake, Fryatt, Proschwitz and Aluko would be very good in the Championship. If we went up, then we'd have to analyze if he's good enough. He's played there before, he's looked pretty good in the games I saw and my Wolves supporting friend is praying we don't get him because if we do, they'll sanction a move for Marlon King.
Ebanks-Blake is a no brainer for me. He's 26, decent experience and has a Championship record of 155 games and 67 goals.
Hopefully he'll play against you tomorrow and score the winner for Wolves, come off the pitch, meet SB and sign for us before the transfer deadline
I'd love Ebanks-Blake, he's easily in the top 10 strikers in this league for me. Not to mention the fact that it'd stop him scoring against us, which he seems to do most times we play them.
Keep us at the top??? He could score the goals along with Gedo -The Egyptian Goal Machine - that put you into the play-offs. Cardiff are not home yet either, it'll be tough but they can be caught. You are worried about who we get as much as we are.
No i'm not. I think you'll struggle to keep up with us without a striker. But if I said that you'd all call me a wind up merchant I think you'll stay in touch if you can get a striker of real top quality, something I don't think DJ is.
A complete unknown that nobody on here has a clue about. We've both been down that route last summer. Two players we both thought would be quality have been fairly dire.
I'd have SEB happily, but certainly not in preference to DJC; Gedo would be useful too, as an addition to one of DJC or SEB.
Why do you care so much? Are you a city fan in disguise? Personally I hope you sign crap players, and if I thought you were I would tell you they were amazing just to get your hopes up. The fact you are so "sure" that DJ wont score goals for us only makes me think he will score goals for us.
