We've been very poor today I really thought we would attack them a bit better then this. We had a perfect chance to catch Barnet and we didn't deliver IMO this isn't a good result. Oh well lets look to the next game which is in another 2 weeks
I've been in a bad mood all day and this has not helped. It's not the away point which is ok - it's the performance - 1 shot on goal is not good enough. We're 14 unbeaten but we've got another bloody fortnight until we play again!
Never have I gained so much from a goalless draw! Anyhow, its disappoiting that we weren't able to win with Barnet having lost. No reason though to be too negative about it.
The managers post match thoughts! Rovers secured another point away from home extending their unbeaten run to 14 games and manager Darrell Clarke told us it was a tough earned point today at Kingfield Stadium. "We defended well as a team but we didn't have that quality that we've had in the last five games. "We didn't get our attacking football going like we can but as I said, credit to Woking they stifled us and worked hard and it was a game of not many chances. "When you aren't playing to your full potential it is vital that you don't give anything away and today we kept that all important clean sheet. The Rovers boss didn't believe the game was destined to be 0-0 but did praise both defences. "I thought both of our centre halves defended really well and I think their two had a good game. "I would like us to be a lot better on the ball than we were in our forward thinking play. "It is another game undefeated away from home against another good side here. "Gary Hill has got a great set of players here, that potentially have been through a bit of a sticky patch at the minute not picking up as many wins as I'm sure they would like but they have always been there or there abouts for the whole season. League leaders Barnet dropped points today losing 3-1 away to Grimsby in today's early kick off meaning Rovers have now closed the gap to just five points but Darrell says that it isn't just 'a two horse race'. "I think people are being a bit disrespectful saying that it is just ourselves and Barnet, Macclesfield are there with us and so are Grimsby and these are good teams that are competing to try and win the league. "We've been pretty consistent and at the end of the day a point at Woking is not a disaster. "The disappointing thing for me is that we don't play for a couple of weeks and when we do it is another away game but we will get our heads down and get on with it on the training pitch and we will look to get the balance right going forward. Matty Taylor twice saw efforts ruled out for offside but Darrell thinks that it is just one of those things. "Sometimes those decisions go your way and sometimes they don't. "Matty thought that in the first half the ball has come off of one of their players but we need to move on from that now and get ourselves ready for Dartford. Ollie Clarke left the field with a knee injury in the first half with the Rovers boss hoping that it isn't anything to serious. "Ollie hyper-extended his knee, we still need to get it properly assessed but we are hoping that it isn't a bad one. "It is always difficult with injuries to knees so we will have it looked at and go from there.
