I've no wish to upset anyone, but I don't quite understand all this. The 606 forums should be a release from the pressure felt by posters with personal or serious family issues. I can't see why those issues should manifest themselves into abuse and argument over subjects that are never going to be resolved on this forum anyway.

Football is another matter - it rightly divides posters along tribal lines and is fair game for some heated stuff on times - but then it's only a game unlike the heavy issues being tossed about on here by some whilst suffering personal trauma.

Maybe it's a simplistic approach, but most of us rarely sail through life without personal anguish and I certainly fall into that category. During those times if I couldn't talk about football, I chose to withdraw from the forum for a while until the rawness wore off. No need to dissappear - just take a break.

Life will get better for us all if we stay cool calm and collected on this board. On a happier note Ann and I are travelling to Whistler on Friday to meet our family again after over 2 years of heartache and pain from not being able to hug them all. We will be spending a week with them and the most precious thing will be the hugs from my 3 wonderful granddaughters. Lubbly jubbly - bring it on. <bubbly>

Stay calm one and all and we we will all be smiling again despite the past sometimes getting in the way.

Smartarse but if you noticed the names were in a separate sentence. Even so I like your humour and do you still have those famous relatives in Gloucester?

It’s ironic that this comes to light the same day I posted on how respectful this forum is.

The guy is on a severe downer, he has suffered a lot of anguish and despair, I copped a look at his post before it was deleted, I am not going to disclose it's content but I can tell you it's raw, I don't think it was his intent to create any serious situations, he thought he was able to enter into debate obviously didn't happen, he has expressed sorrow to all except one I am sorry about that but to me it is a good move on his part, he is a Bristol City fan, as far as I'm concerned he should breathe deep, take his time over recovery and return when he feels he is in a better place.

People come on this board for all sorts of debate, we are a footy forum but we have had LJ, NHS, Covid 19, Anti- Vax, Brexit, Corbyn, Boris, BLM and taking the knee, all people with different points of view, we coped with that and future debate is welcome, any subject, any time, anybody as long as Humankind and 606 rules are followed and balance ,respect for all points of view is given. I think this is one of very few flare ups we have had except for the odd character now and again, Loathsneyd is a long time member and one of us, he is welcome in this place.

Bristol City FC is our main topic of course and long may it be.

I’m happy to take a break from the forum for a while if members find my views too controversial..

Your views are welcomed, you as a fellow member is welcome, it's a nonsense for you to even think it, I can't think of anyone who would agree with that, some of your points I even agree with you on although I'm double dosed, looking for a third and have had Covid, just keep on trucking mate.

I am so glad I get very little time on here. I thought this was a football forum, although I can appreciate the concerns and information on some of the more of topic subjects. Corona virus, EEC, etc.
This thread lowers the tone and respectability this forum, Bristol City Football Club, deserves. I cant believe I wasted my time speed reading through it.
