I also thought Wilbraham covered himself in glory last night with being utterly pole axed in the face to point it drew blood from his mouth, stood his ground, and didn't go down! Unlike the likes of Prem players who seem to go down without being touched.
I think as previously stated ............although not scoring did enough, as the opposition seems to keep tabs on him...need him to score a few now, as the oppo's will start marking up Wilbers and Freeman a bit more! ? and then we Smith, the tall one !
And to think Elliott will be back soon, got a feeling I might see us as champions instead of runners up all the time.
I hope so - I really do, but we have Swindon and Preston waiting to pounce on a mistake - we could be 3rd in one weekend. And then there's MK Dons - who can't stop scoring and 2 games in hand. Delighted we are still top but there is a lot of hard work left to do.
'Too much positivity Victor, we are just not ready for you to be happy Please find one fault' OK. Palace and Posh games - The 2 best performances by far and : Neither Junior or Wagstaff started. ps - Wagstaf or Mo Farah ?? Both can run but neither can play.
We must not be downbeat about what other clubs may or may not do. Our destiny is in our own hands. Win all our remaining games etc! What we must not do any more is lose to sides in the top six or seven again like we did in the last few weeks. Beat them by all means but if not make sure we get a draw.
Sorry mate but it's not; if the Dons win all their games they will take top spot - and there is nothing we could do about it - even if we win all ours.
If MK Dons win their 2 games in hand they will have beaten Sheffield Utd and Preston. Now I don't know about you, but I reckon that this might even be a favour to us, if promotion is the most important thing. Right now, I would settle for 2nd place, if it was offered. But I am a City fan of 40+ years, so not used to being the best at anything...
I was away for the weekend and asked my Son to provide regular updates on the score Getting back to the hotel room half pissed the Missus conveniently finds we had Sky Sports in our room, and so I could have watched the whole game.....!! What a run and cross by Bryant for Wilbs headed goal, and Cotts just impresses me more and more with the level of commitment, sincerity and enthusiasm he gets across whenever he's interviewed. From what I've heard, PNE were very lucky to beat us and it may be only Swindon and MK Dons that can get close enough to us to provide real competition. Up The City !
only down side was it put a few players in the shop window, but I am confident we are not a selling club, and all players would hopefully prefer to stay with a promotion winning club, than join a relegation fight with the bottom sides in the championship. here's hoping!
We win all our remaining games and so do MK would be impossible as we play each other, and because Cider abroad said it first we win the league by two points
And where do we go in the table if and it is a big if, City win all their remaining games, including the one at MK Dons? There are twenty seven matches to go and looking at short term is relevant but not totally important.
If Bristol City win all their remaining games, I would expect a few offers for players from other clubs over the summer. Just a few.
