We're doomed, we're doomed..................send for Mr.Mannering. I have us down with Donny, and Coventry 3 points behind Brizzie City Lets not give up until its mathematically certain, we have to win tonight and I agree an evening fixture we can win tonight by 2 clear goals maybe? PUP
What you still celebrate buying a cup and the millions you owed made you the laughing stock of football. Living in the past, I suppose that's all you have left funky.
Ok - still gut feel but truth is whenever we've had a decent result so have at least two of the teams around us so sadly I think barring a great dose of fortune we are down but I'll believe we can till we can't. 19....Notts Frst..........49 20....Barnsley......48 21....Bristol City.........47 ---------------------- 22....POMPEY.....45 23....Coventry........43 24....Doncaster.......33 Our friends down the road champions Reading runners up & Play offs West Ham Brum Cardiff & Blackpool
Well that's a surprise. I would have thought you'd have had us winning the league by now. Who'd of thought it? A Southampton fan predicts Portsmouth will be relegated. And what's that? Pompey are currently nine points off safety with four games to go? My god! Your powers must rival those of the Oracle of Delphi!
I think he's got a point.....................oh no wait.....................offside. Fair well, it has been fun, if it drags on 27 years, then please, don't let me know at the end, because I for one would not believe it.
It was a good game on Saturday despite all the posturing on both sides. Pompey gave a good account of them selves. I am glad in one way because if we had beaten you the chances are it would have been our fault for sending you down. Unfortunately not taming the lions tonight seems to have done for you. Realistically you have to win all the next 4 games and hope that City do not get 4 points from their last 4. If you look at City's average for the season it is a fraction over 1 point per game which would suggest they should do it. Lose another and you have had you chips as all City have to do is draw one under those circumstances.
He's referring to the length of time, that Southampton spent in the top flight last time they were there. Drag was the mot juste, I'd have thought.
Well, it looks like the likely has become the inevertible. When I think back, the second relegation didn't hurt as much as the first for me personally. Perhaps it was just the resignation, and I have certainly seen that from many of you guys on here. I hope that it's the start of a process where the various leeches can be removed and you get your club back. I won't waste time telling you how it's not that bad in league 1; you guys have the t-shirt and know all about it. Once the situation is certain, the focus will shift back to the financial side. At least it shouldn't be that long before the situation is resolved, as I don't suppose there is any money to support the running of the club in the summer. What will happen will happen and I wish you well. When you are ready, don't forget that, " we're waiting for you, we're waiting for youuuuu, etc."
