Maybe Hamilton should show Massa's start at the 2010 Japanese GP to the delegates of the meeting Reckless, dangerous, rash, out of control........ hmm, where have we heard all that before...... Might shut a few of them up! Also interesting to note Alonso in 2005. Cuts a chicane to overtake someone, then drops behind them on the exit, but then drafts them down the next straight and takes them into the very next corner..... <cough> Spa 2008 penalty <cough>
You are absolutely correct Alonso did do that and he had to drop all the way back and let the driver back through. What I can't understand is that some people got it into their heads that at spa it was a penalty made up to punish Hamilton and it is clearly not the case the rule was there years before that, actually Lewis fell foul of the rule at Magny Cours, well before spa so he should have known better. Anyone who thinks differently really should study the sport more and not go round making things up simply to try and convince others that the driver they support has been hard done by, when it is clearly not the case.
and massa didn't get a ****ing penalty though and yet petrov got a penalty for doing something no way near as dangerous just a few seconds before
Yes, Lewis dropped fully back behind Raikkonen in 2008 drafted him and overtook into the next corner, Alonso dropped fully back behind Klien drafted him down the straight and overtook into the next corner. Absolutely no difference between the two except one got a penalty, the other didn't. Just pointing out facts, not conspiracy theories.
Ah, but Massa was out of the race so you can't get a penalty if you;re out of the race! That's why Schuey didn't get one from Singapore yet his move was worse than Hamilton's. It's all bollocks really.
petrov's incident caused him to go out of the race also but he got a five place grid penalty for the next race massa didn't get anything http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2010/10/10/petrov-penalised-massa-spared/
I thought they could give post-race penalties even when someone has retired. I mentioned it about Schumacher but got well and truly flamed as apparently there was no precedent for someone getting a penlaty after they had retired! *engage smug mode* please log in to view this image
Alonso did get a penalty he made up about 20 seconds on Klien and was told to give the place back he had to let several other cars pass him to do so, in fact he was going so slow to comply that Brundle thought he had a mechanical problem, it would have been less expensive for Alonso if he had been given a drive through, or a post race 25 second penalty. Just pointing out facts.
And Massa at it again http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/95216 Did the 'meeting' ever actually happen, or was it just a figment of the Italian press' imagination?
looked like 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other to me, Massa was never going to make it, I don't know why he tried. saing that Massa (and by extension Ferrari) are just trying to unsettle Hamitlon with their constant bitching about him, and it's working.
