The period of the 28th January to 24th March was pivotal to our season, it's a time where your getting closer and closer to the run in and you really need to pick up points. We played 9 games in that space of time (8 premier league) and only won once. Opposition in that period included Aston Villa, Everton, Bolton, Fulham, Blackburn, Wolves, Sunderland and Liverpool. Ironically our only win came against the highest ranked opposition. When you break it down like this though and look at the opposition at such a vital stage of the season and then see how many points we picked up from these games, we simply haven't been good enough.
