TBF, what she was doing is "everyday accountancy" for the super rich. It was more of a moral issue of whether the wife of the PM should really be making use of those rules to deprive the country of such large tax revenues.
He'd traded off being largely right about Methven and Donald and put himself out as an investigative journalist since then. I know GOM over the road took him to task a few times about twisting things and being selective on what he puts out. All he's doing is pushing an agenda against the club for his own ends. What they are, only he'll know. But screw him and the rest of them if they've no balance and nothing constructive to say.
I think the angle here is still that he thinks Sartori is basically Madrox so as bad as Donald and Methven, and then by association therefore so is KLD. He spent a lot of time earlier in KLDs reign trying to convince people he was essentially just an extension of Madrox (probably to save face after saying for so long that there wasn’t a takeover). So I think he’s still angling for the Sartori and KLD are wronguns stance so that if they do anything we don’t like he can jump out and say “aha I told you so!”
Imagine winning 3 games in a row, scoring 11 goals in the process with 7 different people on the scoresheet and the FIRST thing you mention on the podcast is that the club have "clearly taken the cheap option by putting white numbers on the 3rd kit" Cannot ****ing help themselves
Stooped listening to the pod and past caring. One of them, I think that plank Gareth, was ranting on twitter before end of window. It's like they find any negative and twist it to suit a negative agenda against club. The host is equally as bad. It's ****ing embarrassing tbh.
100% It's shame because it's a good pod and I like the approach they take with guests/live shows etc but they now seem to focus only on the negatives and how they can spin things to cast the club in a poor light.
So,why leave it as a moral issue?....change the non-domicile rules. She's not breaking the law...she,and thousands of others, are merely using the existing legislation to their advantage....it's the law that needs changing to make it illegal to act in this way. As a counter argument, she earns this money in India and pays tax on it there,so is spending her net income here on our goods and services,contributing,as we all do,to our economy.
Have to disagree, regardless of the negativity I usually found it poorly presented, really immature 'bantz' and lots of talking over each other which doesn't work well on a pod.
I've not listened to it for ages, I used to enjoy it years ago, but maybe my memory has gone a bit hazy and I'm remembering the better but before they made me fed up
