You have been given a reasonable August although it has two away games but Sept looks tough. So you need to win that 1st home game and try and get a point on the road and go into Sept with 4 points else it's a tough opening three months
Apart from the Top half a dozen then it will be tough for everyone else also, so If you can accept that it wont be so bad but like us last seasons you must win your home games and go for a point away.......Take the top games out of the equation and it looks a fairer and more optimistic season...
See your point Dai, maybe 'overrated' was the wrong description. He played well for the most part, covering the channels well and plugging the passing lanes, cutting down attacking options, he's decent in the air too but not brilliant. When he has space and time he's a Bentley but, imo, when the pace picks up or we're under prolonged pressure he's susceptible to lapses in concentration, he loses his bearings and is often pulled out of position. That maybe because he's trying too hard but it shows his inexperience. Its just what I've noticed Dai but I'm certainly no expert. Maybe I should have used young or inexperienced instead of overrated. In a dream maybe Mawsons £25m valuation is a ploy to discourage summer suitors so he ends up staying? I doubt it but you never know.
I will not miss Mawson one bit, very overrated, too inconsistent for my liking, hope he goes we can do much better............
I am in the 50/50 club on this at times I see a very good player and then I see a weak tackle like the one against Watford. But the guy must have something with people with a lot more knowledge than us have shown an interest in signing him and paying good money. If we sell him no problem as long as we bring in another good Centre back, if he stays great as he will flourish in the championship.
Winter Break? We had 2 breaks last season: from September until January, and then middle of March until middle of May....
Well I'm off for my first summer brake in Crete again on the weekend, just the Mrs and me this time, that reminds me, not seen Pete from Crete much of late on here, our Kalives boy?..........................
Thanks, though I think your having better weather back home, just had to dodge a thunderstorm, can’t dodge the Germans though!.........
They run the place if the truth be known, Germany has so much investment in the Island of Crete, not liked though by the old Cretans.......
...If the nuggets in the boardroom don't put out a decent team this season, I foresee a big collapse in ticket sales next season..........
