Having gone out in Q/F again, the discussion returns to having a winter break again. The problem is that when do you take it. Not Christmas because we all love it and it isn't our worst period of weather. No good having a break and then matches are cancelled for frost/snow. January? February?

Just don't have one.

The reason our players appeared knackered and lethargic is because they spend 80% of the match chasing shadows due to their inability to retain possession and string 3 passes together.

I don't want a winter break - I really enjoy the Christmas/new year period in the season.

How exactly would a winter break help players be less tied for international tournaments? Surely it just means the season would end later, meaning less time to recuperate?
