Sadly newly promoted clubs are restricted from investing that amount. Also when you sell your Crown Jewels and then replace them with loan signings you are pretty much stuffed

 

€7m for SAA seems a little low (if the rumours are true), but I suppose there might be a future sell-on clause included in that

 

Yeah i don't really see the value In £5m for Sam Amo. Strange one.

 

I reckon he will go on to be a reasonable PL level player myself, he will be another transfer error.

Let’s see though, but we must have the worst transfer record for a club of our size in England over the last 5 years, I can’t think of any reason why this would suddenly change now. Our judgement is worse than moderate FM players.

 

When’s his contract up? Could be another case of wanting out as thought he’d play more. Strasbourg are essentially the Goztepe if Chlesea so if he does well could be a route to Chelsea.

Hes looked very raw from the little I’ve seen so im not going to blame the club if he wants to go and we haven’t played him is part of the reason.

Could just be as simple as Chelsea network want him so he wants to go, we don’t get much of a fee as he doesn’t have long left on his deal

 

Good point. He only has 1 year left at the end of this season.

If he wasn't willing to sign a new deal then €10m is actually a pretty good fee for him. Hopefully we have a sell on clause in there too.

We signed him and Meghoma for about £1m each I think, and we will have now sold them for about £12m.

Yeah. The only explanation that makes sense is he's been promised more playing time there to earn a move to Chelsea and is pushing for the move.

In fairness to Saints our record on this isn't too bad is it? I can't remember too many players who've left without really getting into the first team who've gone on to do great things.

 

And he won't sign it because we haven't given him hardly any opportunities. Which is a complete joke.

 

Maybe he isn't as good as everyone (including himself) thinks?
