Actually, this strikes me as a lazy laissez faire type of working, idle and ineffectual. That's from the top, so is it permeating throughout the club? I mean some of the shrugging and not trying we've seen on the pitch, that is the same thing and it 'looks' like it might actually be a bit true. I mean the bosses stroll about like there's no problem, then the old-manager clearly didn't give a toss about fitness or training or taking the blame. If I was more 'conspiracy, looking to blame someone' biased I would say this makes more than a little sense.
If the rumours about the clubs preparedness for this window are true, then we have reached the point where we on this forum could run a more cohesive recruitment policy. I genuinely believe it.
Having seen one of the threads turn to utter ****e, I very much doubt it. That said, I imagine it is a tough window to address considering the absolute mess we are in. They know we’re ****ed and don’t necessarily want to admit that by selling off players of value, but Jan always commands higher prices. I’m not sure I want us to sign anyone right now, I’d rather save money for the summer and spend this window shedding ****.
I think we all agree much more on football, which maybe says a lot more about the state of both the World and how utterly terrible Saints are.
The first board level meeting regarding the transfer window was held on Tuesday this week, 7 days into the window. It came from the Total Saints Podcast I think.
Juric said it in a pre match conference I think. Think it’s been mis construed slightly. Sounded more like we need to trim the squad and then look at possible incomings when/if we are able to do that. The 7th of Jan meeting about incomings was more let’s see where we are with outgoings after the first week and then look at who we want to possibly bring in, at least that’s what it sounded like to me anyway As others have said this window is pointless from a this season perspective. Ipswich are making moves early because they have a chance of staying up and a couple of good signings coming in early could make the difference. We should be looking to next year really and signing players at potentially inflated Jan prices/attracting players to come in for the likely **** half season we have ahead of us will not be easy or smart
