I mean, I'd love us to just swashbuckle the **** out of everyone and score for fun each week, but despite how poor some of it has been so far, I really don't mind grinding them out, especially when it winds up the oposition. One of my favourite ever seasons as a supporter was the first season of EH when we avoided relegation. Everyone hated us, and it was great. Ground results out and stuck 2 fingers up at everyone. That continued in the season we were 4th but I think we lost a bit our grit, filth and determination last year.
We were massively gritty towards the end of last season, got some great results dispite so many injuries.
Agree injuries and the overall performance, maybe it was 2 years of high energy battling weighing us down a bit to me - I just felt that same "everyone hates us and **** you" attitude was a little diminished last year.
I saw plenty of fight tbh, ie coming back from 1-3 to beat West Ham at home, getting an away win at Fulham by scoring again immediately after having a goal disallowed etc. Injuries were huge last year, and we still only missed out on top 6 by 1 win.
That’s fair enough. And it doesn’t really matter because we won. What exactly was the tactic as a matter of interest it looked like him then on the counter?
