Community shield isn't a major trophy, but it's still listed as a decent honour because it's the trophy winning teams from the season before, so that gives it some credence. It's not some random tin pot manufactured overseas tour against the local part timers.

They need a lot of signings, they signed 2 players, but hardly the 2 that they really badly needed, and the sound bytes coming from Van Gal at the moment don't sound good, seems they are failing in acquiring their targets again, which isn't a surprise, why would top top top players want to play for a mid-table has been club?

 

I asked this question on their board after they missed out on Vermaelen, but I've yet to have an intelligible response. Touchy bunch those Man Yoo fans.
