For the record, we made Cardiff look like a mid table team at their place with ten men. The referee gave them a dodgy penalty and sent our best player off for no reason just to make sure. And they still needed injury time to clinch it. On topic, in a strange way the pressure is on us this coming month, to make the most of the sort of run of fixtures that Leicester have gone on to turn into three, four or five consecutive wins this season. We have the hardest April, so on paper we need a gap. Otherwise we would probably have to win our games against Leicester AND Hull to "remain" favourites (if we were ever favourites in the first place), which is a massive ask.
Typical. When you want AKCJ to keep his neb out he's all over you like a rash. Now I've asked him pertinent and relevant questions and actually want to engage with him he ignores me. Plain rude, just plain rude.
Really like Watford fans! I live just outside Amersham near Watford and know a couple of supporters, they genuinely are stunned at their rise up the table and are humble with it.
Maybe an emergency loan would help you stay in second place, I hear there's an Italian team who is willing to loan you some.
I can see it going to the wire. All teams involved will win games and lose games along the way. I think the fact we can even consider challenging for 2nd spot at this point in the season is fantastic given our expectations before the season started. In the summer who would realistically have predicted ourselves, Watford and Palace to be making up 3 of the top 5 with only a quarter of the season left?
Can't believe Wolves are in the bottom 3! Beaten again today by Cardiff...Watford have to go there next and I expect Wolves to get something out of it otherwise they are proper screwed. Birmingham at the KC won't be easy though. We could swap 2nd and 3rd between us several times until the end of the season.
Same. They were magnanimous in defeat after we beat them in the play off semis in 2008 and wished us luck in the final. A nice bunch of fans.
This thread is about Hull City reclaiming 2nd spot Andy. Leicester never came into my thoughts ..... After all, why would they
Re. Lesta. First things first for the Foxes. They have a home game on tuesday night (26th) against Blackburn Rovers. Pressure game as its one of there games in hand on the teams above them.
Part of that is because of where we are. Most of the undesirables from this area who might otherwise have supported Watford tend to end up as armchair/pub fans of London clubs, and good riddance. Another part of it is that this is probably only the second time we have ever been in this position. For the most part, we're far too busy enjoying it to go and behave like Leeds fans.
Second time I've seen you saying this. Both players were correctly sent off. Pen was stone wall. When you got yourselves to 9 men we battered you until we scored the winning goal. Until then you carried a decent threat on the break and I came away from the game saying I thought you'd finish a lot nearer the top of the table than the bottom. Your players made the mistakes to allow us to win that match. It's like a defender missing a tackle or a striker not finishing. We'll see how 11v11 works out in the return. But you didn't make us look mid table, you did play well though.
