Buggered if I can get this to work. Stops half way, I have to turn off manually, and it then rolls back to the original OS. <grr>
Happened to me too, downloading via my link, run the download tool, choose the create boot drive, let it do its business then run setup from the pen drive and follow from there should fix it.

What a palava just download the fecking upgrade, it took me just over an hour on my 3 year old toshiba laptop. Works perfectly no trouble at all, as I said in the OP it's up and running and brilliant <ok>

That's all well and peachy IF it works. As I said, it wouldn't work for me.
Just sit back and relax it said - my arse!

Don't we have enough to argue about ??

Anybody have views on diesel Vs petrol ??

Lord of the Rings, watch films or read book ??

What the **** are you talking about? Click the link, run the downloaded, put pen drive in click OK. How is that a "palava"? Especially when as per previous post the Windows update method DIDN'T WORK.

If it worked for you then great but I was trying to help someone out, ok?

Calm down mate, we're not all IT literate you know it just seemed oh so simple to me that's all.

I am perfectly calm thanks. Just don't see why you needed to barge in when I was replying to someone who couldn't do what you said and what is tantamount to no more than 12 mouse clicks is really a palava?

As I said it's worth doing even if you already have installed it because in the event something goes wrong at a point in the future you have a bootable drive to attempt to repair, in the past you'd obviously have had a disc but now you don't (unless you buy a copy but why would you....)

BTW I'd advise turning auto update off at the moment because there's an update gone out that has caused bootloops (sounds like a sweet)

Have now upgraded both my laptops from 7 to 10 with only one problem. One has headphone volume adjustment but no speaker volume adjustment. Anybody know how to fix that?

You should be able to adjust the volume with the 'function keys' along the top of your keyboard. - 'f9' to decrease volume, 'f10' to increase volume and 'f11' to mute. Hope this helps.
