They can offer but doesn’t mean we will accept. This from BBC:
Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku is set to be offered in a swap deal for Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles, 25. (Il Messaggero - Italian)
Seems a bit unlikely seeing he failed a medical to come to us in January apparently.
It's the 14th of June and as of now have 1 forward who we don't want, very worrying. Some good news at last:

Newcastle 'close' to making first sale of summer window - leaving United with just one striker
Rafa Benitez's contract situation remains unresolved at Newcastle United - but fringe players are being made available for sale
Rafa Benitez is yet to sign an extension to his contract, which expires on June 30, and that has led to a postponement of significant transfer business both in and out at St James' Park. However, United are already willing to listen to offers for their fringe players, and Joselu is on the verge of returning to Spain. According to Mundo Deportivo , the forward - who is surplus to requirements at Newcastle , regardless of who is manager - has all but agreed a £1.7million move to Deportivo Alaves.
The report claims that the 29-year-old could be unveiled at the Mendizorrotza imminently, so advanced are the discussions with the La Liga club over a deal.
Joselu joined Newcastle from Stoke City for £5m during the summer of 2016 and scored six goals in 49 appearances for the Magpies. However, once on-loan striker Salomon Rondon discovered his full fitness last term, Joselu barely made an appearance beyond the turn of the year - often struggling to even claim a place among United's substitutes.
With Joselu set to depart and Rondon's loan deal expiring, the only out-and-out striker due to return to pre-season training as things stand is Dwight Gayle - highlighting the pressing need for the Magpies to finally resolve Benitez's contract situation and press on with their summer transfer business.
You could probably clean & renovate the toilets with that money thus using the money generated by getting rid of ****e to get rid of more ****e.
I think £1.7M is about fair for Joselu. TBH I don't think we would pay much more than that. Some good news at last:

This from Evening Standard:Reports that Man Utd are confident they can land Sean Longstaff for £25M.
Truthfully that’s just to avoid having to sit next to Chippy though, isn’t it.This from Evening Standard:

Manchester United are convinced Sean Longstaff wants a move to Old Trafford – despite publicly declaring his commitment to Newcastle.
The highly-rated midfielder is on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wanted list, with United set to launch a formal bid. And Ed Woodward knows he will have to move soon to ensure Newcastle’s proposed takeover doesn’t block the 21-year-old’s departure. United are currently focusing on sealing the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka after already striking a deal for Swansea winger Daniel James.
United’s scouts have watched the Newcastle academy graduate extensively and believe they have spotted a star of the future.
They hope a bid in the region of £25m will be enough to convince Newcastle to sell.
Longstaff is a lifelong Newcastle fan and during an interview with the club’s in-house TV channel last week, said: "I’m massively flattered to have my name even mentioned in those conversations, but I’m 100 per cent focused on Newcastle.
"I’ve always wanted to play for Newcastle and I’ve only had a little taste of that so for me, it’s about getting fit as soon as I can and getting back on the pitch for Newcastle and making more memories of the future."
Two things struck me from this:
1) the takeover is still on
2) he knows staying put for another season will be far better for his career development.
If United continue pursuing him despite him saying he wants to stay put I will be returning my season tickets.

That'll be Gayle-JoseluHas Joselu actually done one yet? Or is it the takeover effect?
Also, we are supposedly in talks with some player with a double barrelled surname for a value of over 20 million euros![]()
