There's nothing happening in the men's game at the moment. They might as well have the women's world cup as have gossip spread by agents of premiershit footballers.
I love Women and the female form is that a crime? My views on Women's Football has got nothing to do with any cheap thrill seeing them run around in shorts. I have already said I don't really watch much Women's Football. I am defending their right to play whatever sport they choose and to have it televised. Why do some Men feel so threatened by that? Is it because they are inadequate? I don't believe that Women should be paid the same as men at Tennis, for example. Because they play a shorter game, which is unfair to the men. In Football and Cricket market forces will decide how much Women will receive in the future as the popularity of Women's sport grows. I am a big fan of Germaine Greer and I would love to see the offspring of the union between her and Sid James.
FHB - there is plenty happening in the men's game just now... 1. World class Raheem Sterling wants £200,000 a week 2. England are preparing for an arduous World Cup qualifier v the Isle of Wight. 3. And Charlton are holding a pre season meeting of their entire first team squad...in a telephone box.
I don't do spoilers! As a person whom enjoys the surprises, etc., I hate it when people do that. Which is why I've never been able to enjoy the Sixth Sense. I hate the person that ruined that for me.
That's fine. But by separating the women's game news away from the men's game news means I don't have to trawl through a load of pointless articles. Would rather they just kept it relevant like it used to be but like Royston said earlier on - the BBC won't do this...
I'm 3 or 4 episodes behind - looking forward to catching up on this. Maybe i'll catch up later in the week in an effort to avoid the BBC Sport Football pages for a few days in order to stop me from being offended by the uninteresting articles it currently hosts.
That time of the month is it Dick? Unfortunately I've seen some of the highlights in the pub in Auckland over the last few days, the goalkeeping is pure comedy
Hooooooooray.... I turned on the BBC Today programme this morning and what was the first thing to assail my ears ? Not, as I hoped, news of the Brexit, or the Budget, or even Scots independence. No....an interview with squeaky voiced nerd who sounded rather like Alan Partridge on helium. Who is this squeaker I thought...and why is he getting 3 mins of prime time to spout his banalities "(last nights defeat was a building block....." Urgh.....Alf Ramsey he ain't.....) Turns out he was the "manager" of the England wimmins team
I looked at the BBC football website again tihis morning (hoping for news that Duchatalet had left, or even more unrealistically, that we have signed a player....) My piss is starting to boil at the sheer prominence that the televised wing of the Labour Party is giving to this kick and rush pap fest of ugly useless women 'athletes' who are only there, in truth, to ogle each other in the bath.
Be afraid, be very afraid, of reds under the bed. They're everywhere................................. Not many at Charlton though.
There was a poll of club fans, turns out we're very middle class people. I've been trying to find it, was in the Metro.
I was talking to a pal about the wimmins World Cup yesterday, and he made an excellent point which had not occurred to me. The reason that the BBC are hyping it for all it is worth is because it is just about the only sporting event they have got left.
I watched the Emgland Norway game on and off yesterday whilst doing some work. I enjoyed it. Not necessarily for the skill on show - although it was a decent match and both England goals were superbly taken - but more for the passion and determination from both sides; there were a lot of characters playing and you could see this is a culmination of a lot of hard work for each. Steph Houghton is a fantastic talisman and leader. Also the 4th official was stunning, even if Google isn't doing her justice.
Was our Chief Executive out in Canada doing some freelance? You must be talking about KM aren't you Kish?
Thalia Mitsi! Part of me feels a bit bad for watching women's football and seeking out the fit players but I'm sure thats what women who watch normal football do. That's why Charltons attendances declined after Christian Dailly left.
Just as a further aside on a subject I have very little opinion on, I did notice on the BBC website this morning across the ticker tape banner line.....England win with BRILLIANT goal" I very much doubt that the BBC would have said the same about a goal in the mans game.
