Did you know that one has to go as low as 9th to find a team with fewer points away from home than the Shrews this season? Considering we're at least 7, and in some cases 20, points clear ahead of those teams around us with superior records, it simply serves to indicate the quality of our home form.

Anyway, enough off-topic shizzle. WE'RE GOING UP <diva><diva><diva><diva><diva>

And I'm going to Wimbledon! I'd imagine we'll see some fringe players, and most of the day with pass in a haze of alcohol and ecstasy (no, not that sort!) fuelled delirium, I don't expect to remember that much.

    Oh well.

Anyway, I'm finding it hard to write a pre-party report, so I'll leave you to it and stop wasting your precious time with my ramblings.

    Wimblebubble:
    • Recent Form: LLLDWL
    • Top Scorers: Midson (20); L. Moore (9); Jolley(7)
    • Last Meeting: Shrewsbury 0-0 Accrington
    • League Position: 17[SUP]th[/SUP], 51 points from 45 games, GD -18
    • Home Record: W8 D4 L10 F36 A39

    Shrewsbury:
    • League Position: 2[SUP]nd[/SUP], 88 points from 45 games, GD 27 <diva>
    • Recent Form: WWWWDW <ok>
    • Away Record: W8 D5 L9 F28 A26
    • Lenny's SUPER Fact: If Shrewsbury have 88 points, need to finish third to secure promotion, and are 7 points clear ahead of fourth with one game left, what are they? That's right, UP!
    • Lenny's GRANDISON Fact: I would gladly cup Jermaine Grandison.

Lenny's Prediction: Wombles 1-2 Shrewsbury (Bradshaw, McAllister; attendance 3019)

We may not even see any fringe players as GT does not like to change things too much though perhaps Morgan and Taylor will start. 2-0 to the Shrews so we can get 91 points, which will surely be an all-time record for us.

Is it fairer to play fringe players or reward key players. I imagine we might see a couple of players such as Bradshaw, Taylor and hazell get some game time. Will any be released early?

I just pluck a random number out the air, I never consider things like ground capacity <doh>

I think the combination of ground capacity and sell out crowds makes for a pretty narrow margin of error. Or should do!

as i speak a coach is conveying the squad management and our illustrious chairman to arthog for a
last pre season workout, our fringe players are anxious to give a good impression climbing cader idris and young tom and ainsworth have promised to carry the chairman to the top

lunch will be taken at the george penmaenpool, prior to a slow return to otely rd with another celebration stop, at the cann office llangadfan.

and so the shrews return, fully honed and ready to give uncle bulgaria and co a jolly good going over. suffice to say the run along fairbourne sands was marred by an ankle injury to uncle graham, not serious and after a swig of the chairmans vintage tanners port, gt was fully restored. although rw was unsmiling when applying his dipstick to his lockable flask.

come on you shrews, breath on 'em, floreat salopia, amwythig am byth, and just for what shrew, ctrab!!

Supposedly Grandison is thinking of pulling the squad coach home using his little finger as training for saturday!

very poor performance all goals were poor defensive errors, it was a bit like watching a friendly. Disapointed as it has been a long day, money spent on tickets and travel etc and a lot of people having dificulty getting tickets, we made AFC look good in the second half when they were no better than their league position. Oh well I surpose it meant nothing to us whatever the result, but just feel let down by a few players today. However Matt Richards & Jermaine Grandison did have fairly decent games with Richards edging it for man of the match. Some of the fans have said today that as the team didn't turn up today they are not going to turn up for bus tour tomorrow but get over today , reflect on the season and tun up because........we are going up say we are going up!!!! <diva><cracker><party>
