Because of Oli's injury record, we need a bit of squad depth and there's not much point in bringing in players unless they are better than we already have. Palacios is quality and would be an excellent loan signing, match fit or not
Agreed, we have to be careful in who we bring in. He would be a great short term signing until January.
Agreed. We have some games in November and December which will need a hard tackling midfield enforcer. Lesta and TWS @ home over xmas are just 2 that spring to mind. Mckenna is the only one who bites. Wonder if Ian Ashbee fancies a couple of games over the festering period ? Lol.
I don't see this, but you don't know until you put a loan bid in. He would be a very good signing, so i would happily take him aslong as he is fit.
He'd be the first name on the teamsheet for anyone outside the top 10 (prem). Good luck to you and him if you sign
If we do sign him, he might well be the most expensive player we ever had, he has several undisclosed fees, but there's still a decent chance that they exceed Nick's £20m.
Geo totalled around £28.5m, I can't imagine Palacios has totalled much more than £20m (£12m to Spurs, £6m to Stoke and only a small fee when he originally came to England to Wigan in '08)
Would boss it at this level, Vast improvement on Mckenna and Oli, could be the player to cement a top 6 place for us.
