Wilson is absolute quality if fit. He'll be doing his head seeing this side playing as well as they are and not being able to get on the pitch. Put him in a decent side and he'll score goals. We deffo need another striker though and to ship Gayle out.
The Wood Wilson and another striker saga is simply like this.

Agreed. Some people think adding that 19 year old etikete or whatever is name is would be enough, but that makes 3 strikers that wouldn't be up to par.
1 kid who may need a few years to get up to standard.

Wood who is useless against good opposition, and we simply don't play to his strengths.
We need someone better than that kid.
Here's the kids highlight reel, and for me, there seems to be a lot of luck involved, a load of sloppy defending and quite a few lucky bounces. Premier League defenders are on a different level to some of these guys.

I said in January he looked bang average. We need to find kids like this when they cost £1m from the French second division and stick them in a competent development team. If you’re up at £30m+ you should be pitching up far higher. What’s another £5m to then secure Jonathan David?
I’m still a bit worried we haven’t sorted the DoF or CEO role yet mind. Howes transfer record isn’t the worst, but Nicksons never filled me with hope (he pushed for Wood and thought Joelinton was a CF).
People call Howe out but Solanke is doing really well this season and Danjuma is one of the most sought after in Europe. Neither worked when he bought them but it’s hardly £80m for Maguire levels of stupidity.
Think the CEO will be announced very soon. DOF is Dan Ashworth. November at the latest but no doubt already planning the future. Rumours of a much lower clause come the end of the season to break his gardening leave but no idea if this is going to be true or not.
Ashworth will have no say in recruitment though? We need someone here, Ashworth is about cultural excellence and the wider club, no?

Only thing I heard of it,i was it was highly likely going to piss off one of the top 6. No nowt except that......Ashworth will be involved in recruitment too from what I am led to believe. There is a reason Brighton are being pissy about his compensation package
He's hot property for a reason... Youtube? Not a great way to judge... I use it, but If dortmund, bayern among the many are all keen then that tells me he can play.

I think if Dortmund are as keen on this young french kid as is being suggested, we'd do well to take note. They have a great record with finding the best young talent early. I like what I've seen of him and regardless of the league, I'd be happy to see him arrive. We need more firepower and creativity in wide areas too. He can help on both fronts hopefully.
