Two very good performances for Wilshere in an England shirt this week, and in both games, I rarely saw him run after the ref crying or trying to square up to an opposition player. He just focused on his game, and guess what, it made his performance better. He wastes too much negative energy normally.

Thought Wilshere and Ox played brilliantly tonight. Ox has been good for Arsenal when he's played, we could do with seeing some of that England performance from Wilshere in an Arsenal shirt too.

Always thought Wilshere was a waste of a shirt number but must admit he has impressed me this week.

Heard a radio commentator asking "Has hodgson out-coached Wenger?" as he's moulding Wilshere into a better role and developing his playing style. Hodgson is not in Wenger's league tbf but will Wenger consider doing this now?

I doubt it - even in the Scotland game Wilshere was being brushed off the ball and being unable to break up play, and Scotland weren't playing with any pace, and certain players were clearly Championship standard. He played the 'hollywood' balls and spread the passes excellently.

But I think in the prem we'd need someone to either break up the play - a traditional DM, or a box to box physical athlete next to Wilshere whose going to tackle and press his heart out for the team, allowing Wilshere to sit back and play these balls.

Don't forget that the quality of opposition England has been playing has been poor, while the Prem is very competitive
