Apparently he has a £50m buy back clause with Arsenal.

surely we just give him a new deal given we are stinking rich and Arsenal just blew their only title shot for the next decade?
 
Would he want to go back to Arsenal?
Love the way he runs with the ball. And can use both feet. Unlike one of our other wingers.

He's an Arsenal lad, but if he is living it up here and we are set to dominate the PL what motivation does he have for going?
Like I say the quick fix is to surely get him to sign a new deal and remove clauses like that (or at least up the value to £75m).
 
I'd take 50m for Willock like... He's going to be a good squad player but that's about it.

For 50m we could buy Maddison or buy 2 decent options.
 
£50m and put it towards Saka <cheers>

Otherwise I'd want him to stay, think we can compete with Arsenal for wages and he's thumping the badge on his shirt, saying we have the best fans, best stadium etc. so not sure he would go back to be a squad player at Arsenal.

clubs don’t have ongoing contracts. I’d imagine it is in his contract like a buy out clause would be. Stands to reason he’d want it in if he ever needed to go home as he developed. Remember who was in charge when we bought him.

If it’sa buy back clause then yes its ArsenalS contract with nufc not Willocks. Obvs Willock would still have to agree to the transfer
