This thread is to discuss the 2022 Williams Racing F1 TEAM

Looks like it’s a livery launch at 1pm (though you never know maybe we will be surprised)

They’ve seemingly signed a fairly big deal with Duracell which appears to be big enough to affect the livery - so let’s see!

Has there ever been a more ‘energised’ team in F1?

Couldn’t resist. Joking apart - hope this is a significant deal and that they keep climbing up that ladder with the blank slate of new regulation.

Gotta hope that they used all the creativity on the actual car and not the livery. Because if there's is similar levels of creativity on the actual car design, it's going to be quite conservative.

Looks a bit boring, I really hope they put the extra money they saved on the paint scheme on the actual car!

Still waiting to see someone do something decent with the wheel trims! I was hoping that the trims would add a bit of colour maybe even sponsorship logos - OK so it would have to be a recognisable brand logo as you wouldn't really want a company name at all sorts of weird angles. I would have thought one team would have taken the opportunity to attract a sponsor - it would be the first F1 wheel trim sponsor, that in itself would attract press coverage. If it were still around Orange telecom would have been a good one as their logo was just an orange square with 'orange' at the bottom. Thinking about it Red Bull could have had their title sponsor on the trims as I think their company logo is 'O'.

There are a few interesting bits on the real car.
The nose doesn't look flat like the others it's more cylindrical!
The brake ducts look weird, the inlets seem small but the housing seems a lot bigger than necessary. I seem to remember 2022 regs had quite a few restrictions on brake ducts and something about blowing excess air into rim but must come back out on inboard end?

Welllll.... it looks nice and that but it is completely sanitised everywhere so there's no way that's the actual aero package.

The front wing hasn't one singe spike on it and the floor is completely blank as well.

It does look like it's really tight down the sides and back though.

If Williams don’t yet have a new title sponsor , then they are buggered . I like to think they will have by the first race , but here we are at the launch and ……

have to call that a nose job and a half ;)

thier plastic surgeon would be quite pleased.

It also reveals their slats on the floor are much further forward than the aston's imo.

some teams seem to be running a support for the wing mirror that suggests the horizontal element is being used for a big of down force but this is absent for williams.
