I am never very serious mate I've told you that anyway I've changed my mind

paul dummett is the greatest cb that has ever lived

can we still sign Willems though I think he plays lwb

for me the side picks itself for the next 2 games at least … don't worry me and pouchy just enjoy the banter. Ritchie and dummet will have to wait another opportunity to get back in the side now. we played well on sunday.
I will be very, very surprised if a fit Ritchie is not straight back in the first 11. The only question really is where he plays.
Not changing a winning side has a little merit, but Chelsea is a very different proposition than Manchester were. I'm all for giving the Longstaffs another go or two to see if it works consistently, but I will also be very surprised if Almiron plays. At least one of the front 2 has to be able to regularly take chances. On all known form, the most likely of the current combinations is actually Gayle and Carroll.

almiron played well and was involved in our goal despite missing a chance... i'd consider Ritchie if fit because it's away a Chelsea … it's a tough call im sure bruce will be pleased to have in all honesty

Would say its too early to judge Willems yet. He is certainly better than Dummett as a LWB but Dummett is a much more solid defender and if we are 352 would generally put Dummett in the three, 442 - would have Dummett as the FB and Willems as the left midfielder.

Must admit that from what I have seen Willems looks better than Richie going forward. Certainly more comfortable taking on a man. However you know from Richie you are going to get the effort every game. Need to see more of Willems to confirm he has that as well.

I'm advocating both Ritchie and Willems in the team. What attacking there has been for the past three years, has predominately come from one or other side of the pitch, dependant upon whatever side Ritchie is playing. This has made it easier for teams to defend. The Willems/ASM and Yeldin/Ritchie combinations offers attacking possibilities from everywhere, and as a Brucie bonus, creates more space and options for centre midfielders to operate.
Ritchie is far more than about effort, and it really is time for him to play in his best position rather than constantly act as Mr. Versatility.

well well well people are now starting to realise a week after me of course

According to the statistics, Jetro Willems has been one of the best left-backs in the league when he’s played this season.

The Dutchman has faced 26 ground duels so far, and he’s won 23 of them – with this 88% success rate the best from any Premier League full back as things stand.

We've generally been good at this with the loans. Did the same with Merino, negotiated a good deal to make permanent. Seems we have the same for Willems who has done well after that shocker first game when he'd been thrown in unfit for action by Bruce.

I like him, he's pacey, good going forward, gets stuck in and generally seems to have a good all round game. He is slow to react to loose balls and closing down but every player has deficiencies or they play for Real Madrid or Man C etc.
