Someone should tell Ilungua not to pass the ball 5 yards at a LB position. Needlessly gone to the ground and conceded goal in dying moments..

    Did somebody order a WUM?

Or was I beaten to it?

Oh well, 0-1 says more than I ever could...

Apologies to the WHU fans who were gracious both before and after the game.

Nice to see football fandom, winning out over blind one eyed support, I would have been happy with a point at WHU today, a smash and grab raid for three points, well that proves we will give 100% for 90 minutes + not always the case last year,

However that doesn't suddenly make us worldbeaters, or WHU a bad side.........what it will do is give our side a huge confidence boost, and give the more deluded Hammers fans a reality check...............best of luck to the decent Hammers fans (apart from the return fixture <ok> )

It was typical season opening game, many new players, new managers and fans who hope to have a good season but have no idea how their team will do.

West Hams fans biggest problem is their manager. I remember watching WH in the 70's, they always had good quality players who could play the game. Can anyone remember the last good footballing team Sam A was in charge of?

A draw would have been a fair result today but it wasnt. I dont think WH are going to go up this year, and if KOBY is a typical fan, i hope they dont go up. I think we have a better chance (prob via the play-offs !!!)
