You may have seen press reports earlier in the week citing claims from the miscreant Craig Kline of underhand stuff. Balderdash of course. Anyway, here's the letter Shad Khan has written to the FA Council - the paragraph at the top of page 2 is especially relevant -

All bets are off - Shad Khan has pulled out of Wembley sale and/or called their bluff. In a statement just now The FA explained:

"At a recent meeting with Mr Khan he expressed to us that, without stronger support from within the game, his offer is being seen as more divisive than it was anticipated to be and has decided to withdraw his proposal."
