Mig has come on in leaps and bounds this year and I think he's in the top 2 keepers in the prem. I think he is destined for bigger clubs than us unfortunately but he should be in no rush.
Based on the price internationals this and last season, it wouldn't surprise me if he is priced at somewhere near £20m.
Well that's a fairly passionate response! First of all, the best keeper in recent years has been Edwin Van Der Sar, even held a world record for a while. Built like a praying mantis so let's not start with De Gea's weight. Secondly, you've obviously watched very little of David De Gea if you think he's (still) a liability. People who have this impression are still basing it on the (admittedly) awful start he had at United. De Gea has pulled off a stupid amount of saves to keep us in the title race, to win the game against City and then to go on and stretch out a 12 point lead. He has been rotated in Europe but his most recent game in the CL vs Madrid at SB, probably man of the match, pulling off what is almost certainly gonna be save of the season after probably 6 minutes. I'm not saying he's the finished article, he's far from it. He has to improve his commanding of the area, his punching, his anticipation but he's far from this David James-esq donkey keeper that many people are calling him out for. Look at your 'keeper, I watched you play a game recently vs Spurs I think and he kicks like a ****ing div kid in the playground, either humped straight into touch or straight to the opposition. All I heard last season is that Krul was the best! De Gea's not been anywhere near perfect, I'm not even suggesting he's better than Mignolet I'm just questioning the fact that he's still labelled as a liability. If you want to talk about blundering donkey's then why not start with the world's favourite super hero, Joe Hart because he seems to be immune to criticism after his amazing season last year.
De Gea certainly has improved, as the poster above me says some of his saves have been vital in keeping Manchester United ahead in the league. Mig has kept us from being in the relegation zone, he's been immense. To answer the op I really hope he stays, but if a top club comes with the guarantee of first team football, he's surely going to leave I have a sneaky feeling he will sign a contract extension though!
I think Mig is abit overrated & I tell you why. he's kicking is rubbish, he doesn't come for crosses, he doesn't demand he's box, he's position sense is rubbish. I blame Mig for Readings second goal. he should be coming for a ******* cross in the 6 yard box for fuc* sake.
The education system has gone to the wall over here Comm. Apparently, Mig doesn't demand he's box. I always demand my bait box, lol.
True, he's very good crack though eh? He'll be fine next week when he has to go to bed early again. He's a funny **** the ginga ninja.
You can always tell when old men(LIKE BILLY D) come on here because I can always smell piss & shi* LOL.
Who said I didn't rate him like? I said he's abit overrated & by the way all of my opinions are spot on about him. people like you haven't got a clue about footy.
Mig strong points are shot stopping & making him self big. in my opinion he has a long way to go till he gets the world class tag from me but he is still young tho.
Thats funny because a person called marco gabbiadini says the same things I say about mig LOL now go changed your shi* bag LOL.
Am I the only one who was bugged by this odd form of self-censoring? At least if kids are on they won't have to see the suffix "ing". That suffix is a right ****.
