I think a lot of us have the “ Never say die “ attitude, something that was historically installed in us at an early age , not a bad thing in my eyes - it’s not looking good but it ain’t over yet !
We all know that we're in the poo without having to be constantly reminded, but the last two games have seen an improvement. Even if we lose to Derby, which I think we will, there are lots of 6-pointers coming up for all the relegation candidates, so all to play for. We don't have to watch Apples with his hands in his pockets as we concede a late equaliser or winner, and that's a relief for everyone who attends Charlton games.
Cheltenham's two games in hand are not until April. Hopefully that is a help and we can still be ahead of them by then. #clutchingatstraws
We've lost 6 and won none. Derby have won 6 since the end of December. 1 fewer than we have won all season
Our winless run has to end some time. I don't expect it to be at Derby, but one of our next two away games.
If we fail to beat Derby I understand this will become the longest winless run in the Club's 119 year history. Well done SE7
I'll go for a win on Saturday but no more than a draw at Cheltenham. This is not out of optimism but we have to win a game sometime.
The season starts now. With 4 aways from the next 6 games this month we still have a mountain to climb. A plus side is that the other teams around us have not been getting results.
We have improved our chances of League One survival with that unexpected victory. I would estimate we're now 60/40 in favour of staying up. Of course that good work tonight could easily be thrown away during the next week. Beating Derby does not mean that Northampton and Cheltenham suddenly become pushovers.
Without doubt the best signing we made was Nathan Jones - he has turned our shower of ****e into a competitive team and for that reason we are not going down ! Arise Sir Nathan
I assume this is a little bit tongue-in-cheek? Chris Powell was knighted after winning this league with 101 points, and then kept us up in the Championship until Roland came along and got rid of several good players. When Jones wins League One and keeps Charlton in the Championship I'll acknowledge his greatness. He has a very long way to go...
