Adams says he hasn't given up on getting Boetang back here this season. I can understand him keeping his bid in on the off chance Boetang is allowed out to play elsewhere in the future but I have to say I think he is clutching at straws. He is bound to want a player like that but even if Palace players come back from injury who have been in the team, if Boetang does well they may not dislodge him. It's a shame because I'd really like him back as well but there is no percentage in pinning hopes on it. Unless of course Pardew has indicated that once he gets his squad back he will let him go and has told Adams this. Now I'm clutching at straws.
Alan Pardew in his post-match comments yesterday after the 1-0 victory at Spurs (sorry Joe).....said that they where back to their best after their injury problems have now cleared up. Boateng was not on the subs bench yesterday......and of course is now pushed further down the pecking order....so more first team playing time isn't probable. If Pardew allows him to return to Plymouth on a 93 day loan......arriving say Friday would mean that he would be available for the Div2 play-off final....of course we're hoping that our season will end with automatic promotion. A rumour picked up on another board suggests that Coventry have been sniffing around a possible loan.....lets hope that he comes back here.
