Just got to find a Dutch doctor living in the UK

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/120131011373718/

    Dear Sirs,

I am a UK domiciled person and I understand that I can legally import herbal medicinal cannabis from the Netherlands if I am in receipt of a prescription from a Dutch Doctor.

I understand that I would require a personal license if I possessed more than 3 months supply

Can you please confirm that if I return from Holland in possession of less than 3 months supply of herbal cannabis and I possess a letter from the prescribing Doctor stating

    My name
    My address
    My date of birth
    Dates of travel
The quantity of cannabis, the dosage and total amount
    What it is prescribed for

Then I will be legally in possession of prescribed cannabis in the UK

    Regards

    The reply is quite clear

Apologies for the delay in responding to your enquiry.

Your understanding, outlined below, concerning importation to the UK of a controlled drug for personal use is correct.

    Regards

So you need a Dutch doctor to agree to prescribe the cannabis then you go to Holland and get some, There is a Facebook page all about it here (link at top). Cannabis obtained this way is 100% legal and you can use it anywhere you like without fear of prosecution. Going through this mill might take a bit of organising but it’s not impossible and once arranged you can bring up to three months supply back with you and you don’t even have to declare it at customs.

The Dutch government has licensed a company to provide the legal medical cannabis, you can see the details including how much it costs here. There are three strains available and it is real cannabis – ie buds of herbal cannabis and not the expensive product manufactured by GW pharms.

taff its the whole set up u think will go with"a drug"..................just class cannabis the same as alcohol and there we have the answer...the same rules apply>>>>>>>remember laws are in place now for drink but below the legal age 2 buy is all 2 easy with these spars and dont forget u shouldnt serve someone who`s already drunk but that is a flaunted law aswell.......which causes half the problems u see on a weekend`s.

ronnie i take it u havnt noticed whats been going on for the last 40yrs en..........ban drink and we shall see what the worst drug is for sure <ok>

sussex thats a great shout dude.....i got an irish doctor who doesnt give 2 fks for cannabis and smokes it himself>>>im gonna have a chat methinks......infact im gonna insist on ronnie`s taxes should pay for my enjoyment <laugh>

Spot on Aber, as you have pointed out the same rules as alcohol should apply to cannabis. Any new law is only as good as those we have to enforce it. As with the drink law it is clear the boundaries are ignored because the infrastructure to enforce the law is not there. That's why I stated any new law would need to be strictly applied and this must include current alcohol laws. Along the same lines, tobacco may well need to be addressed further. Successive governments have intimated they are aware cigarettes are a drug and a health risk by virtue of increased taxes and the advertising ban. Is this a prelude to classing cigarettes and cannabis in the same category and then regulating sales outlets. Interesting discussion point I think.

sorry taff i didnt realise we were singing from the same page for a min there <laugh>.....if its done in a responsible manner like in holland and many other countries then society will keep ticking away as it is now but with the proceeds going towards health and education instead of into some black market hole

yes, arguably alcohol is more dangerous as its considered acceptable in this country to get smashed every weekend, forgetting that the consequences of binge drinking are severe...

with the younger generation they seem to get a thrill from doing something that goes against the rules and is illegal......

    interesting read here aber:

    and wait for it.......
