No, you clearly didn't. You claimed that Levy put a valuation on Modric and didn't even support that bit, never mind the rest of it.
Yup and every Spurs forum where spurs fans were discussing him. AVB stated Real hadnt met Levy's valuation though he gave no figure. The Press Association ( not some rag top ) said £40million as did everyone. what does it matter anyway, Levy is a selling chairman. eventually, he sells.
Media and fan speculation mean nothing. It's ridiculous that you think that they do, frankly. All chairman are selling chairman, unless they're ridiculously rich. See Ronaldo.
Calm down old timer, don't want to be putting any extra strain on the old ticker now do we? Im only giving up as its going nowhere and tbf, PNP probably has a better idea than I do about Spurs just like I have a better idea about United than you lot do.
It wasn't more than a few months ago he was saying Levy would sell him and put the money towards a new stadium. Show me when he's done this. Clearly there were no negotiations for Modric's sale when Levy was making his end of season statement which you quoted. Wrong again. He said he wasn't for sale and never gave an amount. Unfortunately when a player goes on strike for the second time it puts the club in a very difficult position. The £40mill is what he was supposedly holding out for and getting less than you want is hardly new to any chairman, that's why you have negotiations. Ideally I'm sure you'd have got more for Ronaldo but you didn't have a choice but to sell him to Real as you'd promised him he could leave if he gave you one more year. I've no idea why you seem to think Levy's such an idiot but it's clearly misplaced, he's done very well for us overall.
I doubt that even had Wales qualified for the WC that Bale would see his place under threat. They have Championship players in their first 11. Terrible argument.
Are you not listening? Of course Bale isn't worth any where near £80 million to the likes of United or Real, which is why Levy said that any offers for him would have to be in excess of £80 million. It was Levy's way of saying, "Bale is not for sale," which is exactly what Levy has been saying for at least three seasons.
Is this all a reaction to Fergie retiring and Rooney wanting to leave? At least we didn't have to hear from the Madrid fans.
