Dai don`t be so hard on yourself you are not suckers for conceding a free kick goal. I see that worried look upon your face, you got your troubles I got mine. jck
Damn that will teach me to get the right posters, thanks for the correction but I think the team it was directed at was clear. oops, jck
No swans fan would expect to be in the top 4! Correction no sane swans fan expect a top 4 finish! This must explain the pathetic hysteria from certain posters now! Ha ha.
I am not sure you managed to finish in the top four in the championship, I know it was not in the top two. jck
Who gives a toss who wins promotion as champions, it means nothing! Ask QPR, wolves and reading. It's not that impressive winning a league spending the most money!
So if Man City winning the league spending the most money is not impressive finishing mid table 5000 points behind is? I see. jck
If Everton finish in the top 4 that would be more impressive than man city winning the league! But I really don't understand what you are trying to say???? 5000 points what???
It means no matter what anyone else does the only impressive thing to you is getting into the premiership via the play offs and finishing mid table. The europa league is more impressive than the champions league and the carling cup is more impressive than the FA cup. This is a lovely way at looking at things. jck
No no you don't get it do you! For a club like us to get to the knock out stage of the Europa league is more impressive than the big spending Tottenham! And if Everton make the CL its more impressive than if any of the usual big 5 makes it! What made our rise to the prem impressive is that we done it with not spending big money, losing manager's and staff three seasons on the trot and was favorite for relegation. surviving mid table first season in the prem, then finishing top half of the table and winning the club's first ever major trophy!!!! As a swans fan I feel were in dream land and think it's a great achievement especially for a little club like us!
I agree its more than a club like Swansea could have hoped for but for Cardiff who have been in two cup finals and won the championship we really do not want to play in those comps again and would feel gutted if we had to play in the europa league. I would certainly rather see you doing well than playing back in division one. jck
I think playing in the Europa league is worth going for but not at the expense of the premier league! And ATM we're doing an ok job at juggling the two! Not taking away your achievements, just it was what was expected from you! (Promotion that is) I think what will be a great achievement for you now is to appoint a good new manager with balls (something MM didn't have), get you playing good quick attacking football (that got you promoted) and staying up in the perm avoiding a relegation battle! And if you can do that you will then start to fulfill the potential your club has. And become a mid table prem club. (Now that is as diplomatic as I can be to Cardiff)
And so to the latest round.............. Manchester City 4 - 2 Cardiff City Swansea City 1 - 3 Tottenham Hotspur No points for either Welsh club this weekend, but which side had the better result all things considered? Same sort of scenario next time up in the League - we're away again, this time to Man U, whilst the Swans have another home fixture against another London club in Fulham. There's been a three point gap between us since Christmas with both clubs losing their games since then. I wonder can we get anything at all at OT to stop the gap increasing to 6 points because the Swans are bound to take all three from a struggling Fulham at the Liberty.
in terms of 'timing' - next games probably not bad for both of you ... I'd agree with Sparks that the Swans should beat Fulham and if you could 'choose' your next opponents right now they'd arguably be the pick ... also not a bad time to go to Old Trafford - confidence is definitely fragile and if they can't overturn the deficit against Sunderland this week it will be even more so ...
How crucial could that Liberty Stadium game become as things stand at the moment? Possible historic first ever six pointer between the clubs and a change in fortunes. Building up nicely.
Cardiff & Swansea are matching each others results constantly even including an away win in the FA Cup!! There has been a 3 point gap for ages now. Can't see Swansea going down - they are having some bad luck just like City are. If only City had Bony instead of Cornelius.
