i think he means the club would impose punishment on fans (if there are only a few of course) i think that happened for the attempted pitch invasion last season against southend c
But if it's on a massive scale then it would be impossible too. I'm not bothered if there is one either way. If there is I'll go on but if not then I'll happily jump for joy in the Northam.
The reason for the lap of honour, should we make it, is for us to thank the players, and the players to thank us for our support, that won't happen if a bunch of lemmings want to excercise their overblown egos and invade too soon, get the lap of honour over with, then maybe saunter on to the pitch and enjoy the moment if you must.
I will be a boring old fart in the Northam! If it goes as far as needing the Walsall game I think a pitch invasion is inevitable, the tension and passion that SMS will be filled with will need to be released. I agree with Saint Lamdden, as long as people return to their seats I don't see an issue. The players and backroom staff may be glad of the time to themselves to enjoy what they have achieved with people that aren't always recognised.
People will run on and celebrate - the players will go down the tunnel and do the same, then the pitch will be cleared and the team will come out and get the plaudits they deserve. No problems
Teams have never been fined for pitch invasions before, look at our one against Sheff Utd and Stokes against Leicester (both on the same day) It's only when fans get out of control like Birmingham v Villa that fines are imposed If promotion happens tomorrow then there will only be the minor idiot on the last day
I get home from work about 4.15, so please let Saints be 3.0 up so no tension. I will then invade my kitchen, but promise to go back to my sofa clutching a large glass of vino. If someone could arrange for a half-naked Fonte to do a lap of honour round my lounge I would be very grateful. He on the other hand....
This post is assuming that we actually ge promoted... My bet for the hardest game was Plymouth so fingers crossed in 8 hours we will be a division higher again
