Sunderland are a massive club and there is no way they should be struggling in theorem league, they need a plan and a style of play and to stick with it, too many managers coming in and signing 6/7 players will just mean players from the previous regime not used and a massive wage bill. I think it will be a good game what ever the result .
Behave mate, We're a completely different outfit to what you faced last time. Anyway. Sunderland match thread is up http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...-City-Official-Sunderland-Not606-Match-Thread Safe round trip if anybody is making the game, enjoy yourself at the stadium of light.
Honestly mate, anywhere. So long as you're not looking for trouble, you'll get no trouble yourself. The Colliery Tavern is the nearest pub to your side of the ground, always gets plenty of away fans in so there'll be plenty of your boys in there singing away. http://www.safc.com/fans/visiting-fans
I was speaking to my brother about the possibility of finishing below Sunderland a couple of games ago. They were the only team down there that really looked like they had an ounce of quality. They'll probably get the win on Saturday - I fear our players are still breathing out their sighs of relief, and Sunderland must be bouncing after their recent run! 7 points against City, Chelsea and United all away! Unreal, especially at crunch time! Fingers crossed we get a draw, maybe Sunderland will still be celebrating having avoided relegation and we can pounce. We could do with the higher position for a little extra cash in the bank.
I hope we can win but neither side are going to bust a gut and will play out the game. Last game of the season and both teams safe then it will be more of an exhibition match than a full blown must win game.
You think ? Poyet and the team will want to finish on a high ,you keep banging on about party time, it's a pity Southampton didn't take your advice and I expect the same result Sunday .(mores the pity)
I have bean keeping my beady eye on you for obvious reasons, but if we play to our best you are not good enough to keep up!................
poyet or monk wont have a say. the players are in control in the last game. its normal practice that you don't hurt an opposition player with a reckless foul when there is nothing on the game and are about to go on holiday. Its normal practice and even the match report in the papers are saying the same. It will be a non event and if somebody scores then they score but they wont bust a gut in the game you can be sure of that. Both teams will try to win if they can but don't expect hard tackles as there wont be any...
You're right Cattermole's been carrying a knock and totally exhausted himself on Wednesday. I think we'll throw quite a few fringe players on and use all of our subs. However, the game is sold out, around 45,000, and the crowd will be wanting a performance after all the **** we've been through this season. BTW, I'm amazed Monk has been given the job, I think it's a big mistake. Good luck to anyone coming up
Well with Cattermole out there's a chance that all our players will come off the park in one piece . I really don't think that Poyet will want to relax until after Sunday , winning is a habit and one to be encouraged .I wasn't looking forward to the game but now can't wait just to see now that Monk's installed permanently how he sets us up Sunday ,this could be a chance to see Fulton having a run out and some other surprises . Lita anyone ?.
We got a point off Liverpool and another one off Arsenal. At least we know how to beat the teams in the bottom half lol.
We took 4 off Man city, 3 off Chelsea, 3 off Man u and 3 off Everton. Bottom half teams? 3 off West Brom, 3 off Cardiff, 3 off Fulham, 3 off stoke. So about a third of our points were picked up in wins against bottom half team, more than a third if we beat you tomorrow.
We have been above you all season? Finished above you last season and the season before that? anyway enjoy the game and see you next season, glad you decided not to go back to being a yoyo club!.........
