Parachute payments will be less though so we'll still have to cut costs and doubt we'd turn down the opportunity of a quick profit. He'd probably want to go too as a relegated club will have better promotion prospects.
If we don’t go up this year we will lose a lot of players as we won’t be able to afford to keep them without year 1 or 2 parachute payments. It’s why the whole “year to stabilise” argument is bollocks
Yeah and even more so with it looking like I'm winning my bet and at least one established side will be coming down.
Irrelevant for us, we’ll be competing with Luton who will be in year 3 parachute payments in League One as well
Insurance bet placed at 7/2 on Bet365. Not amazing, but a 2 horse race (albeit with 3 outcomes) and we are ****. £5 gives me £22.50, (17.50 profit), so win I am happy, lose and my train ticket is covered plus a pint of 0.
Yeah I know we love our insurance bets but even that aside that's a crazy price given how both teams have performed so far.
8 min interview by Adam Blackmore with Leo Scienza: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0mczrwq?partner=uk.co.bbc&origin=share-mobile
Scienza: Why are we going in the wrong direction? I'm trying with my good energy of being a new player to change this energy a bit and give the good energy to the guys a bit. We have to be together to get out of this. The coach? He cannot go inside the pitch and score the goals for us. He can't go inside and clear balls. We have to have the bollocks to stand up for ourselves on the pitch and say 'it's time for us to do this'. We have the thoughts from the coach but we have to do these things on the pitch ourselves. He cannot come inside the pitch and do it for us. We have to stand up, look each other in the eyes and grab the hand and head for the same direction all together.
